Btw if ur not as tired u make less mistakes naturally…and it was proven that many Chinese athletes were doped in the last olympics and that they weren’t tested this time so I don’t think it’s an unfair thing to assume that there could be doping involved

Iga clearly had problems with handling pressure in this match. She was tense and stressed. This resulted in making tons of unforced errors. On the other hand, Zheng played superb tennis and made few errors. This is a great achievement by the Chinese player considering that the last time Iga lost in Paris was in 2021. Congratulations.

If you have never watched tennis and don't know who was playing who, you would have thought that Zheng was the seasoned champion and Iga was the young player trying to break through in her biggest match against much more established talent. Zheng was calm, strong and accurate throughout the match. Iga took a lot of chances and made more unforced errors. That said, Zheng controlled most of the points either with her serve or just her better ground strokes. She was the better player on this day.
