This man's music is my place of refuge. When the world begins to rush around and things feel overwhelming, this is the place I come too. I put my headphones on, get in a comfy chair, close my eyes and go where ever the music takes me. It's a most amazing feeling if you allow yourself to just let go and let the music draw you in. I can honestly tell you that I couldn't feel my body and the first few times I would move my leg to makes sure it was still there. It sounds crazy, I know. But it's almost a spiritual experience and I am not a overly spiritual person. It helped me to survive a very dark and painful loss that I was almost certain I would not survive. I discovered his music only a few years ago and it's not the type of music I would listen to. But on this one particular day, I did. I continue to listen and my soul continues to heal. I owe this man more than I could say. And now I have myself crying. I've left most of the painful tears in the past, with the passing of my husband and the life I loved and lost. For anyone out there who has lost a loved one, my heart breaks for you and I hope you are able to find peace from the unbearable pain of losing what essentially feels like a large piece of yourself. And I hope you find your way back to the world of the living again. As beautiful as this song is, it is the sound of my grief.
