turn on the gimbal first and then turn on the camera, besides, did you set camera manufacturer on the gimbal or ZY Play?

Hey you show controlling focus using the gold wheel on the smart handle but in my case that won’t work. Only the focus wheel on the left side will work. Any idea? I’ve tried all of the settings. Zoom works fine. Thanks

Hi Cody, thank you for mentioning this, I'm very sorry, this was an edit mistake that slipped thru, it should have been the shot with the focus wheel on the lower right side, the editor must have mixed it up and I also missed it in the review before upload. We will write it down in the comment. Let me also ask Zhiyun if they can somehow make it available for that wheel too to control focus, I do think it will be a good feature to have.

Hello! I would love for you to help me, I have bought the crane 3s to use it with my canon c200, I stabilized it for the first time but when I turn it on the blue light turns red in pov and neither a motor works, it does not stabilize or anything, in the command appears update followed by an X , hopefully you can help me since I have filming from tomorrow with this equipment and it is not working for me.

Can anyone explain how to connect a Sony A7sIII with the Zhiyun Crane 3S? The A7sIII is on the compatibility list but I cannot get them to sync.

I just did, but still at loss for how. However, use the USB-c to USB-c cable and follow steps. Bonus that aperture and iso etc are working on handle--but then a lock button stops me from changing it...still figuring out. Also make sure you have the latest drivers in the a7siii and also the firmware update from Zhiyun

I am very confused !! my brand new Crane 3s has no any response when I powerd on and goes on sleep mode straight away Zz !! the app could not connect with device and and firmwere is version 1:00 ! what shoud I do ?

hi did u unlock all axis properly, usually it goes straight to sleep mode if there is no camera on there or if any of the axis locks are in locked position

@@marcelbrandel9078I have tried with the FN button set to both locked and unlocked. And still nothing happens when I press the F button. It works fine from the app, and from my smartsling handle. So that is strange.

Turning my gimble on gives it a red ring on the power indicator, and the smartsling has the sleep icon. I cannot even connect the zy play app via bluetooth to upgrade the firmware. I reached out to Tech Support because I might have a defective unit. Any advice? I don't know when they will get back to me and I am running out of time between now and a shoot i have coming up which I was going to use this for. I'm going to be very disappointed if I have to RMA this.

Hi Hugh, that's weired, personally on my side I haven't experienced this type of error yet and don't know. Maybe try this, first detach your smartsling handle and turn on the gimbal with properly balanced camera package and unlock all axis lock. If this doesn't work then check if all adjustment screws are tight on the axis. Then if it also still doesn't work try attach your gimbal to a windows computer with the usb type-c cable to manually upgrade the firmware, which you can download from the website

@@marcelbrandel9078 I did try that as well. I contacted the manufacturer and they did get back to me and replied with "Sorry to hear the trouble. According your info, gimbal must be send back for checking, can't fix directly. Zhiyun gimbal have one year warranty, within one year, customer can contact seller for related service. currently, most of zhiyun dealers can provide service for their customers in own country. if not, provide gimbal purchased invoice/ receipt and S/N number, we will guide you next step." I have already ordered a new one as this will need returning and I also rented one to pick up tomorrow as a back up just in case. I appreciate you looking into this matter for me. I'm sure its good information for you to know as well since you deal with this gimbal and other issues with it extensively.

You can set it by using the ZHIYUN Calibration Upgrade Tool after connecting the gimbal to the computer.

You can use that Type-C to Multi USB cable to connect, select with pc remote on your camera usb setting, select with sony off on your crane 3s gimbal menu to try.

I am dissapointed. I just received my 3S and I see that the SmartSling cannot comunicate with the Canon C200. In order to control it, you need to buy an extra cable that is not easy to find. You should warn people about that

At 2:40 there is an edit mistake it should be the normal focus wheel, not the little golden dial wheel on the SmartSling handle.
