For me personally, I prefer the lightweight and compact structure of the Crane M2S, which is very suitable for taking a short trip. The Crane M2S has most of the features and loading capabilities of the Crane M3, but it is more economical and is very friendly for those who use a mirrorless camera with fixed lenses.

Compared to the crane-m2, I really like the new features of the M2S: quick release plate, fill light. My sister's birthday is coming soon and I'm going to give it to my sister as a gift.

Very informative comparison. For me, the M2S hit that sweet point with its reasonable price. The advanced features and design on the M3 seem more suitable for professional gimbals. For beginners, M2S has more than enough to offer.

TBH I got both. The m3 for my A7IV and M2S for my 6600. If you want great stabilization you cannot go wrong with either of these lightweight gimbals. After owning a full sized heavy gimbal I can say that you will love the light weight difference.

As a young girl, I really don't have very strong arms, so for me, undoubtedly M2S is my first choice, it is easy to level, lighter than M3, and I do like the fill light, my friend own the Smooth 5, the fill light is so great in a dim environment, thank you for your video, Young!

I prefer this M2S. As its built-in light reaches 1000lumens within just so small light source. And it is much cheaper than M3. I wanted to purchase a M2 before, but zhiyun told me that they halt its production. And now M2S is coming, a perfect update version of M2.

Big thanks, Young. This video is quite helpful. Honestly, I believe all of those Crane gimbals can deliver excellent stability and gimbal movements without any issue. M2S would still be a preferable model at this price range for most of the vloggers.

That's a huge upgrade from M2! I was trying to upgrade my M2 to M3 but I guess for me M2S is better as its a lighter gimbal with a lower price since I'm up for more simple gimbal for me to use when I'm out vlogging.

I think Crane M2S is suitable for most who are using APSC, point-and-shoots and smartphones as the gimbal movements can be limited if a full frame is mounted on it. For full frame users who wants a travel friendly lightweight gimbal, Crane M3 is for you.

Great and nice presentation. I have actually owned the crane m2 since last year, and for me who's not a pro filmmaker, it does its job very well. But this new M2S looks even more versatile at such an affordable price. I think it's time to upgrade my gimbal.

How would you compare the feiyutech SCORP-c gimbal that costs just slightly more but holds heavier cameras with all the features. I think all the cranes are destroyed by the SCORPION-C. In M2S there is a shake while taking video if we use sony alpha 6400 camera and sigma 56 lens. Can anyone say what is the reason? Both lens and camera has weight around 700grams only

I agree with Young. There is no conclusion needed and it comes down to the person's needs. Like, for someone who doesn't own a full frame, they don't need M3. For Young, why does she need to choose when she has got all 3? Her phone on M2, her A6400 on M2S, and her A73 on M3. Perfect!

Hi thank you for your wonderful videos. I do have the Crane M1. I was an early adaptor when Zhiyun decided to make a smaller gimbal. I use it with my Lumix LX-10 all the time for maybe at least 4 years now. I even bought extra batteries for it. I am able to do the inverted mode with that M1. Surely when the M2, M3 & M2s came out I was again slightly regretful to have not waited for the 2nd iteration of a piece of tech obviously because the M2, M2s is slightly cheaper, far more smaller than the M1, and there are markers for retaining the balanced position of the camera when you take it out unlike in the M1 which is a pain. Does the M2, M2s have an inverted mode? Again thank you for the videos.

Yes they do have inverted mode. You don't need a large and heavy gimbal for your LX10, M2 will be a good choice already. What is that with M1 that you can't do and you wish to upgrade? All gimbals do similar things, the latest generation is not miles better than the older gens, some even gets more limited. Like M2 comes with an internal battery, and you can't use the gimbal while charging. Only M2S can do that, but you need to attach a power bank which is a much less elegant solution than battery swapping like how you can do in M1.

@@gigihanmandarin ah thank you very much for the reply re Inverted mode; I was just thinking the M2s has like markers for when you take out the camera & you can easily get back to the balanced position after say packing the gimbal. My M1 can not do that. I had to put tape markers etc. Anyway, another advantage I think the M1 has is that when I travel by plane I am able put the crane in the checked-in baggage and just take the batteries out & those stay in my carry-on baggage. If the battery is built in for the M2 and M2s, that will always have to on your carry-on baggage. thank you.

CRANE-M2S only provides stabilization for mobile phones and action cameras. Button controls are not supported. If have to say so, yes.

M2S will be easier because of its stronger motors will compensate the imbalance much easily. Axis lock on M2S will be able to let you balance each axis individually too.
