Zhiyun Crane M3S vs M3 - Should YOU Upgrade? 🤔

Currently the M3, I received the M3S last night and after playing with it i thought i would be able to set up (to mi liking) two out of three settings (aperture/Shutter/ISO) but it only will let me adjust one. And the side wheel can and will only work for the LED light.....so i think i might be returning it and just continue with my "older" M3. I paid around 250 CAD for the M3 vs 460 CAD for the M3S.

The Zhiyun jump from 369 to 320 to 299 to 279 $$$ now, in short period, not reliable company... I got it for 299 then asking to match price and they did... I like how it look but it not very stable with lenses over 24mm, in my experience. How you know the motors is more stronger, or just guess? Definitely will not upgrade, and with time probably going for DJI. Thank you.

It's a bit more complicated than that. It's a combination of payload and how front heavy a camera+lens combo is. There is a list of camera bodies and lenses it can handle. To give you an idea it can handle a full frame Sony and a 24-70mm f4.

I'm not convinced about the improved power. The M3 vortex mode would work great with my A7C w/ 1.8 20G lens. Its not even usable on the M3S

Both versions have a plate but it isn't an arca Swiss or a manfrotto long plate if that's what you mean

You can try to find a camera that has a similar weight to the r10 in Zhiyun's compatibility list

Maybe it's not properly balanced. Try rebalancing and calibrating

I bought the M3 but it won't hold my a7r with Sony 24-70 or Tamron 28-75. Will the M3s able to hold them?

That combo is a little heavy even for the M3S. The 28-75mm is barely ok but definitely not the Sony 24-70

Trust me don’t buy I had bought to of them and tack care of them real and they both don’t work today and they don’t sale then with warranty keep in mind they didn’t last a year just months
