Zhiyun Smooth-Q3 Review: The last iPhone gimbal you'll need

I bought this gimbal and used it for a few weeks, I sent it back and bought a Osmo mobile 4, the quality is night and day and found the OM4 so much better in the hand, the clamp on this gimbal felt like it would break, I am using a iPhone 12 Pro Max, but could be better with a smaller phone, I just found DJI to be more solid.

Q3 is very buggy. Osmo mobile is much better product. I used Q3 with iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone X. All these reviews are not real

PLS REPLY SIR: There are too much bad reviews in Amazon that it's a fake gimbal it has motor issues n it will stopped working after some days is it true since how many months ur using it is it working fine should I buy it or go for DJI osmo se

The major drawback for me, which I found out only when I purchased it 😔, is that you can't do a proper jib shot with it. It only has 80 degree tilt angle, so it's useless for jib shots or pull-out/pull-in shots through an opening (can't hold monopod horizontally with gimble on the other side). Wish I bought smooth 5 instead

How much payload can the gimbal take? Just if you need an ekstra light, a shotgun mic on also and a cage for your phone.

Can someone help please. I have a Samsung A12 on a zhiyung Q3 gimbal, and every time I press the settings button (3 dots) on the ZY Cami app, the app freezes and I need to restart. I cannot do settings in the app because of this. Can someone give me some advice please. Thanks Bret

I just bought that particular gimbal and I'm wondering if I can use the gimbal without going through the Bluetooth I do not want to use the app I rather use my phone manually but with the gimbal without going through the Bluetooth

yup! The gimbal will stabilize a phone, but you won't be able to use the ZY Cami app. But, you can just shoot in whatever video app you usually do. I often use it this way

@@alireza3440 actually yes just turn it on and place your phone in it and that's it I feel dumb because it was that simple LOL you only need the Bluetooth if you want to use the function of the gimbal but since I do a lot of recording filming I don't really need to use all the functions of the gimbal

Doesn’t seem compatible with Samsung s21. I’ve returned 2 for not connecting to the phones Bluetooth. App never connects. Android app doesn’t have slow motion and other features that apple app have.

I’m having one query here that I haven’t figured out yet. I want to make all my videos by keeping the mobile in portrait mode. I can do that by triple tapping the back button. But whenever I click in Smart tab in the ZY cami app, the gimbal puts the mobile back into landscape mode which I don’t like. Is it possible to use all the smart features in portrait mode? Also, I do not see any option to do it using joystick. It only allows me to rotate the gimbal, not the mobile (like a wheel).

Im Kinda Upset & Annoyed At This Point With This Gimbal. What I Thought Would Be A Smooth & Seamless Recording Experience Was Much More Than I Bargained For. After Charging Overnight & Unlocking Each Joint On The Smooth Q3, It Still Doesnt Work. Mode Lights Keep Blinking And Theres No Difference Between When Its On & Off Seeing It Virtually Does Nothing But Blink. Very Disappointed & Dissatisfied With This Gimbal. Never mind. This brand is BIG trash. I remember my buddy having an older one. It would be just as good as that dolly zoom effect that you CANNOT ACHIEVE. Who ever is reading this, get the DJI osmo mobile 5. Don’t bother getting the one in this video. I am sure even if he has the DJI 5 he’d tell you it’s a night and day difference.

I just received it from Aliexpress, like all Chinese stuff terrible instruction manual , bluetooth setup very exhausting , the zoom button no matter what you do it does not work with the APP of the manufacturer , not ergonomic but for $ 65 you cant expect more , I do not recommend buy this model but paying a little more while buying a good one . Finally not every smart phone will work 100 % with such as Samsung depending smart phone buttons layout
