I am not sure how I came here. But I am surprised that Jack and mom picked this song. It might be a little harder for them to understand the emotion behind it, as they did not experience the grueling age started from 1840 after the Opium Wars. Only by very recently the Chinese people started to live easily and peacefully. So looking back the Resistance War against Japan Invasion and the arduous age after the establish of the People Republic of China, the parents' hardworking deserves sincere appreciation. I think only if you know the history, should you really be "surrounded" by the emotions of this song. On the other hand, the common love between generations is touching all over the world.
