I correct myself. He did not win any competition as single. He and Hacken Lee won actually "Our Songs (season I) but I do not feel that was a really competition because it was more like a show about magic combinations. However, he is recognized as one of the best singers in China. Two days ago, he had his LIVE birthday show with all the fans as usual (since many years ago), just one person, one camera, one mic, one laptop, one birthday cake, 3.5 hours, singing 48 songs and chat with fans, all FREE (he does not accept any gift). Can you imagine that 25 million fans joined this party?

Zhou Shen has other versions of "Big Fish" with more operatic singing, Chinse opera singing. This song means a lot to him. Before he joined Singer 2020, he wasn't well known, when "Big Fish" was released in 2016, people only knew him by his voice. He sang about 10 songs of different styles and genres in this show. Highly recommend his "Ring the doorbell and listen to it myself" , "Baby Goodbye" from the same show. Had been very busy for the past weeks as he had 4 stages for Mid Autumn Festival, his birthday live singing on Weibo on 29 Sept , bonus for all fans, 3.5 hours more than 40 songs, 25 millions viewers, quite a number of English songs as well. a few stages during China National day . A live performance of 8 songs a day ago. There are lots of amazing songs from him. Also Highly recommend his "Song of the Heaven Island" and the most recent one "悬崖之上 " for movie Cliff Walker. A tribute to the warriors who sacrificed themselves to build a stable homeland for the future generations. I was really puzzled when I first read "The Year of Dang Da". Finally, I realised that was translated from "当打之年" while seeing the title: Singer. I just wondering how to translate that in English? "Singer in peak years"? or "Singer in top"? Would anyone give a better answer? This was indeed the first performance of Zhou Shen in the show:Singer 2020. He didn't win the competition in the final. However he was regarded as the real winner in public for some reason. His popularity has been increased immensely since the broadcasting of the show and he might have become the most popular singer/vocalist in China now.
