yeah, the vibe was definitely off the charts. getting into that tent at coachella was nearly impossible because everyone was trying to cram into that thing. i, unfortunately, gave up trying. it was craaaaazy when he dropped faded.

Wow I just saw him live in Shanghai, in a 2 hour set he played 3 of his own tunes and then the rest of the time just very average and zero lyrics house/techno music. Total disappointment! Zhu you let me down!

saw him live last year and his set was boring and very generic sounding. He is an OK producer but not groundbreaking, I wished his DJ sets were more technical and banging. done before a million times over. There are many who sound like him, its called deep/tropical house. Funny seeing comments like "he is the best in the world" makes me laugh, it just shows how little exposure the commentor has within the extensive catalog of electronic music.

Thanks for the info John, glad to know its not just a one off lame show I witnessed. To be honest I love like 90% of his music, but the things he played live were nothing like his own material. Besides when you go to see a DJ his music should be played significant chunk of the time, id say at least like 1/3 of what he plays. But now I have this love/hate feeling about the guy, I love his music but I hate his DJ sets!

Even though I understand everything you just said. To be honest, I don't believe the amount of music he has made would cover 2 hours of a set. Sometimes, some songs don't even fit together in a mix. I feel you just has to respect his taste in music because that is ultimately what he is playing live, songs that he enjoys besides the ones he produces.
