What a lovely compilation of rare Zidane footages! Thank you for putting this together. Getting out of a tight hole with a host of opposition players stabbing at your feet incessantly and finding an impossible escape route every time - Zizou to me is the best ever to play the game. I already believed that but this compilation has signed and sealed that belief of mine!!

Lorsque nous disons qu'il est inégalable dans l'histoire de ce jeu, beaucoup estiment que c'est du fanatisme. J'espère que ces derniers verront cette compilation de situations complexes où il est seul aux prises avec au minimum trois joueurs adverses mais arrivent toujours à s'en sortir grâce à sa technique, à son niveau physique, grâce tout simplement à son génie. Zidane est juste unique.

0.56 is a friendly match against south korea which was just few days before france's 🇫🇷 2002 world cup opener against Senegal..... zidane at the peak of his powers was injured in this match and missed the first two games of the world cup and france never recovered without him and hot eliminated.

He known when to pass, when to hold the ball, can draw a foul, dribble past one or two...not things that directly win a match, but you miss a player like that when he's not there. Makes the team tick.

Thank you for this rare footage! But also, I think for those Lippi words many of those situations on video not really suits well. What Lippi was talking about, in my opinion, is when Zidane made complex situations look really simple via his vision and technical ability, and help team get an advantage on the field. It is timing, it is space, it is simplicity with one-two invisible moves, one-two quick touches, quick vision, quick decision. But sometimes on that video he is just fighting for the ball and demonstrates his physical, or dribbling potential. It is not about it. Or sometimes on this video he didn't going really through, but stayed surrounded. And it is not about simplifying things in which Zidane was so great. Meanwhile, there were numerous times in Zidane's career when he did exactly what Lippi meant. Because Lippi most of the time appreciating everything that makes it easier for a team. Also, I really liked another Lippi's words from that time: - Who is a greatest player nowadays? "Someone who, in addition to talent, has the ability to reflect himself in others, does not feel the need to prove himself in the best way possible.

100% agree with you! Lippi's comment was a reference to Zidane's overall play that you mentioned. I only edited some part of zidane's play. Actually I had a hard time making up the title. 😅

I'm from Ukraine, so last years of my life wasn't easy, but every time I watch Zidane's videos, I'm calm, I'm escaping from all bad thoughts, I'm home again, I'm 16 again, with ball always with me, trying to copy every move of him.

Wow what a player I'm lucky to witnessed him , I witnessed Maradona messi cr7 r9 and zidane I aint gonna lie zidane was the slower but technically? My goodness yall just watch the footage me I watched him on live when he used to play that's the difference I love messi and cr7 but zidane had tougher Era , his generation was more and better defenders, I love Ramos pepe boateng alves they were great but no on level of Maldini nesta Stam baresi desailly thuram just saying no hatin zidane was the only player in football history when he dribble he stayed in place know what I mean .
