A double element episode this time.
First half is making a winding slow zig zag track.
The second half is a Y-shape turnout switch.
At the end it all gets joined together.

What is the difference between someone who builds RBS with copper wire instead of steel wire? Less bandages on the fingers.

Good morning... I live in Brazil and with your great and thoroughly explanatory videos, they leave my mind flying far away... A technical question: which soldering iron do you use, as it is super fast in service, it looks electronic... could you give me its specifications and where I could find it... Thank you for your attention and keep it up... + SUCCESS...

I use a resistance solder iron. Take a look at my other videos for more information on what I use.

A couple of great elements there. I especially like like the horizontal switch and the fact that the 'worm' keeps the speed slow and therefore maximizes the travel time. I thought at first that the switch might be a bit unreliable due to bounce back from the extents positions but it seems to be working fine. Great work (RBS and video) as always. Looking forward to the next elements.

Thanks Bill. Time will tell on the switch bounce back. It's a risk, but at the moment yes it looks fine. Thanks for your kind words as always.

Another interesting video. Getting inspired to make my own RBS!! Apologies in advance for the flagrant plagiarizing!

Hello sculpture extraordinaire, as I am about to attempt my first rolling ball sculpture, with your blessing I would like to try and copy your piece of art simply because I think it's brilliant! I am not generally very artistic, but moreso as this would be my first venture, there is all ready so much to learn and practice that it's more than enough for my brain to handle! 😒I am avidly following each episode in order so as to take thing one step at a time. Hope you don't mind me cheating and if it ever comes off I will ensure you be credited, regards, Tony.

I love the bending jig. You're getting really slick curves, plus it's quite pleasant to look at. It's nice seeing your channel grow!

Thanks. I designed and made it using a local laser cutting company for the shapes. The paint job works well eh? 🌈🌈

That wiggly worm is neat. However, I now wonder how a "serpentine" might be different...

Over five years, probably around 20-30. On this one, what you see is what you get. I’m only a few days ahead of KZbin land, so I know there is a nice element in the next episode. I won’t spoil the surprise, you’ll have to tune in next time!! 😝 Not sure what’ll be created after that.

Hi. I designed it and got a laser cut company to supply the circles. Then I just glued it together. Next time I would include smaller circles.

How did you figure out how to make the bending jig concept

I used to use a few paint pots, but then realised I wanted more diameters.

@CopperGravity

Decide what diameters you want. Then I ordered the shapes to be laser cut by a local laser cut company and then I simply glued them together with a spot of pretty paint! My advice to improve this would be to make circles instead of half circles.

Good afternoon, I would be very grateful if you could give me or send me technical details of the welder you use, or is it a welding station? What model is it? I've been working with one for a long time and it doesn't meet my expectations. Thank you very much.
