Who could not like this content if your into models? The level of detail he puts into this is amazing. Those seatbelts though were next level awesome. So much detail in such a small item. Love the fuel lines and the wires also. Awesome video of an incredible creation.

Wow. If you built this kit 'just out of the box' I'd hate to think what details/time you would spend doing more. you must have the patience of a Saint? used to make plastic model kits as a boy, but never spent as much time work as you have here, This is just fab. Lotus was my favorite F1 Team.
@realsteviem3 жыл бұрын
My sentiments exactly, and I was also a Lotus fan. F1 today is boring, too much money, computers drive the cars, and the drivers are all overpaid woke virtue signallers
@petergriffin46055 жыл бұрын
Wow, fantastic build. Great skill with the pinstripes (I have avoided this kit for just that reason!) Also your clear coat and polishing are spot on! I too love the minimal sounds, congratulations on a beautiful piece of work all round.

Dude your vids are like 2001 a space odyssey with the limited sounds and no music. I love it as they are very zen inducing. How much time do you spend on a build and also your research?
@ZiggysDesk5 жыл бұрын
Appreciate it!! Builds usually take me a month or more, including filming and editing. I don’t do too much research, just a couple hours looking for reference pics, or going through the kit instructions.

Spectacular Build. Every piece is made absolutely perfect by you! The metal clips you fabricated for the fuel lines to the hose clamps... From the Paint to the Sticker application to the clear coat, wet sand and Polish, your workmanship is Top Shelf! With no sound on the video, we (the viewers) can feel the tension... the concentration. You should have very Proud of this Build! I can tell by your Paint Booth, washing the parts after sanding that this is a long way from your First build and an equally long way from your last build. This video was a real pleasure to watch. Perfection Achieved! Cheers, Larry. 😍👍

This is quite possibly my favourite F1 car ever. Is have seen it at formula Renault days at donny Park and Silverstone and hearing it go past at full chat is simply breathtaking. For me though, it will always be the JPS livery. I get that they can't really put that on these days but that's how I remember it.

I built a similar kit 30 some years ago. I loved the black Lotus Formula One model. Mine was the John Player Special and the kit didn't have this level of detail. It was one of my worst built simply because the decal work was so difficult. Glad to see this video on how to properly build a F-1 kit.

I build alot of armor and have never washed the parts after sanding. The directions suggest doing so but luckily I've never had an issue when it came to primering the hulls etc. I guess it's different when doing auto kits though when it comes to needing to lay down smooth gloss coats. Great work on the F1 btw, Tamiya do pretty good auto kits.

I have recently finished building this model. Nowhere close to your standard of course, your attention to detail is off the charts. I too thought that it was a shame for the manufacturer to omit the fuel injection lines when the engine was that level of detail, but i left it alone. I also love how you got the 'Ford' lettering to appear on the cam covers. Very clever!! Excellent build.

That is absolutely magnificent. You should be incredibly proud of your work. I used to love building Tamiya models, and while my attention to detail was not even close to yours, it was still enough to drive my wife mad!
