Nick once again. After 2 years of research I finally got me the whole kit, the 21,19,17 and 15” hihats. Picking up my drumming again after 30 years. You Nick have definitely contributed to this choice. Great versatile cymbals, thin enough to me as musical in every aspect. Recommend them really. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪.

@dagb7271 I just got a set of the sweets 15,17,19, and 21. They are awesome. I'm verry happy. I had a collection of miss matched high end cymbals on my set..probably about 12 all togather. Now I only use this sweet set instead of a ton of cymbals. It's much nicer to have less that do it all. I will add a china, I'm just searching for the right one to fit this sweet set. They all match togather so nice and all of them are great crashes essentially. The hats crash well the ride crashes well. And mine are so sonically matched its amazing.

Love the 15 hats and 23 ride. I use them in a heavy rock jam pop original band. I find the 23 ride can honestly do anything

I think the 23 crashes much better than the 21. I've owned both. The 21 cuts more but is a little brash, and the bell is more prominent. The 23 is a perfectly balanced cymbal. I just wish they made the same design in 22.

Hey, don't hate me, I don't want to be mean but Nick is wrong in a couple of things here: first, there are actually 14" K Sweet hats beside the 15" and 16" (they introduced them a bit later, but it was a few years ago now). Second, the unlathed bell is not intended to bring up those "darker tones" (= lower pitch), but quite the opposite. The thinner the cymbal the lower the pitch (darker), and these cymbals are very thin, so they decided to keep the bell unlathed (therefore more mass and thickness on the bell) in order to retain some amount of high pitch (brightness) for the crashes and hats. All this according to Paul Francis himself, who _I guess_ must know something about it... Anyways, these K Sweet are great cymbals. I have a 23" ride and is just... 🤤🤤🤤

Cool info. So they are supposed to be thinner than the K Dark thin's, correct?

@@soulander13 I had the 18" K Dark Thin crash which I replaced with the 18" K Sweet Crash. The weights are similar but the K Sweet Crash is much darker than the K Dark Thin. The K Sweet Crash also "rides" very well at low volumes. Now I'm looking at replacing my 20" K Crash Ride with the 21" K Sweet Ride. I hope this helps.

I got the 23" K Sweet Ride, and really liked it. Enough to strongly consider not playing Sabian anymore, so I got the 20" K Sweet Crash annnnd.. I hated it. For being a 20", it was so bland, and puny sounding. I discovered the HHX Complex series by Sabain not long after, and love them so much more.

Hi again. Just want to tell that I complemented this setup with an Zildjian K Paper Thin crash 18” that is just as musical as all the other but just even a bit more thinner. Even before that I got me a Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Splash 9”. Great mix. Thinking about doing the last and final completion with a 21” or 22” K Paper thin to use as crash ride. Never had such a nice cymbal stack.

I have the 20" Custom Dark 20" ride, the 18" Custom Dark crash and had the 14" K Custom Dark hi hats. The ride and crash are perfect for my soft jazz playing, especially smaller venues. However, the hi hats were horrible...too bright, loud and clangy, so I sold them and bought a pair of 14" K Light hi hats which are MUCH better in softness and darkness. Hope this helps.

​​@@boomerguy9935 yeah man.. those K custom dark hi hats definitely got the tsst tsk sound to it when played live. I found myself the A line instead which I love that has a finer defined sound on its hi hats. Maybe it's the K hammering. I would like to recommend the cymbalcraftsman I think hand hammering is much better than CNC hammering neumatic type. Human control guarantees better overall versatility

To be honest cymbals will sound very good behind the drummer hands.. cymbal sound itself is just the bonus..
