most people and the average drummer and casual listener are more interested in speeed and showmanship, so on u tube whoever does that get the most views and exposure, if this is what u are referring to underrated? if not im not getting u how is he underrated? lol the music is subjective and its impossible that one can be underrated, its like saying old handmade, epic wine is underrated...well not many people have access to this sort of wine nor can they afford it, and also not many people taste the difference.

Such great musicianship by all the players, but Gary is just so in the pocket! I love his tone/touch, and his taste is incredible just laying back until the music inspires him to add too it. Phenomenal playing!!!

Tim Lafave! That dude has almost literally played with everyone! I'm not really surprised, though. He's freaking amazing. I actually got to meet him recently at a Cory Wong show of all places. Cory actually invited him up to play on one of the songs and then he was hanging out after the show chilling with everyone. Really cool dude.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen Sir Lefebvre perform with a jazz bass. Please check out is other projects with Donny McCasslin, Mark Guiliana and Jason Lindner! The best four piece experimental/avant garde jazz quartet! They also helped write music for the last David Bowie record “Blackstar”
