Thank you for keeping the plates alive. It is a lot harder than most people think it is.

The drum line I teach doesn't march cymbals. Most schools don't anymore. If it was up to me I would probably march at least 1 or 2, but the director outranks me and he says they only go in the pit and only for accents. No dedicated player. Glad you're showing people how to play them, but the number of players who need this are probably 1%-5% of who would have needed it 20 years ago.

lots of high schools dont march cymbals anymore, but when it comes to dci many cores still march them. im sure lots of people out there may still watch this just because they find it interesting, or maybe their high school doesn't march cymbals and they are interested in doing cymbals and dci, and this is how theyll learn as they dont have someone to teach it to them at their schools. this will also help aspiring open class dci cymbal marchers who wish to march world class one day.

People from from all over to specifically try out FOR that cymbal line. It's also not a scholastic organization. There's also no difference between playing cymbals for multiple year and any other instrument for multiple years.
