Always loved this series. Watched it when I was little when ABC carried it, and since I got Sirius satellite radio, I've listened to the radio version with Vincent Price as the Saint. Very much like the TV series.

Rodger Moore was perfect in the series called the--- Saint. Really--- bring them back to watch -- again - along with the Avengers-- The Man from U. N. C. L. E. ---- The Prisoner--- and I Spy. These were great. Also the show called---- No Where Man -- in the 1980s and Human Target of the same time. Oh -- Yes -- also the series called-- T. H. E. Cat.- These were all great and would work today for SOME TRUTH IN REAL LIFE AS WELL AS ENTERTAINMENT.

I agree 100%. In those past years, the Anglo-Saxon producers really know how to make t.v. series that were really entertaining and with good taste for choosing plots, actors and actresses. I am developing a website as an online magazine that will include spaces in the categories of the t.v. series of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Besides Simon Templar, "The Saint", I plan on including all of the episodes of Bewitched, Star Trek, The adventures of Jim West in the "Wild, Wild West", The Persuaders, "The Invaders", "U.F.O", "One Step Beyond", etc. Will anybody be willing to help me with this project with some monthly income (about $12 per month) to cover just the cost of maintaining a site of that sort? Is it perhaps that the producers of the show, In their minds. Thought to simplify the episodes. So the viewer, might not have to think too hard ? Maybe, thats exactly what Leslie Charteris, did not want. Mr. Charteris wanted his reader to think a little.

Charteris's ranting justly cut short at the end. He really was a twerp. Thinking his own idea of a theme tune was better than Edwin Astley's; complaining about scripts; trying to decide the actors. They should have told him to piss off at the beginning. They had the rights, he didn't need to be consulted anyway.
