Indeed Bruce Grobbelaar is a Zim Hero ,he sacrificed alot to play 4 Zim ,he would turn his back on a lucrative Liverpool career to fly 8000 miles to play 4 his beloved Zim Warriors.He was the one who connived&convinced ENNS Sportswear from Merseyside to sponsor the Zim National team.This match was between Zimbabwe& DRC in 1995,Zim won 2-1 with goals by Adam&Peter Ndlovu.I remember it was the time when the Sun Newspaper brought out the match fixing allegations.There was an outpouring of support 4 Brucie by the Zimbabwean people.
@thesmithersy3 жыл бұрын
Especially given Mugabe's racist policies that aimed to block him from playing so they lost most of his glory days.

Turn his back on a lucrative career?? How did he turn his back on Liverpool career when this was only international duty and once the game was over he returned and continued playing for them 🤷🏾♂️
