For the 52nd year running, Zimbabwe wildlife lovers undertook the annual Hwange National Park 24-hour waterhole game count. The annual Census has been undertaken since 1972 and is conducted during the dry season when most of the animals are forced to visit the waterholes at least once in a day. The data collected is collated to establish the wildlife numbers within the park, and help in formulating essential conservation strategies for the Park.
