Textbook crosswind landing: crab, wing down, and keep the power in to maintain control. Touchdown point irrelevant in that small plane given runway length. That is REAL piloting.

As someone who first went to Birmingham Airport in the late fifties and then regularly for years thereafter I'm appalled by the decrepit condition it's now in. It should be a museum for the airport and local area.

The old control tower is in a dire state Brian , being a listed building and one of the first things many people see arriving into BHX , i am surprised it has been left that way 👍

@brianlaunchbury4491 I totally agree about the way the old terminal building has been left to become a shadow of it's former self. l made a film for my KZbin channel a few years ago that shows it both in it's heyday and how we like to remember it, to sadly how it looks today, it becoming a museum or heritage centre is a great idea, but will it ever happen ?...l still live in hope.
