I am English speaking but my great grand parents came from India. Here living in USA I listened to English songs. To me the Indian songs are so melodious but I do not understand the meaning so once in a while I lend an ear. It is true to say that there is not much comment because this song is so sweet and melodious that words cannot describe it. I saw the movie Safar with Rajesh Khana and this song is beyond description. I do not have words to express my feelings when I listened to this song though I do not understand the Hindi language. I guess it is the same with others. This song brought me to tears, just the mournful music and the great acting which left an indelible mark on my mind. I am 73 and requested it at my funeral although I am a Christian. I already choose someone to sing it.
