Ric Browde who produced that first poison album has later said they had that Easy Action Album there in the studio with them and literally just stole the song from them, but it was settled out of court later.

I was a little kid when I first heard shotgun messiah in the early 90s, loved that debut album and always wondered what ever happened to the original lead singer, now I know, thanks....

I was 17 when I discovered SM. Got my high school buddy into them with Second Coming. Saw them sound check when they were supporting Second Coming (Don't know why I didn't go to the show) and saw them live on Violent New Breed. So from an American perspective I was there for the long haul. I was just checking my youtube comments and ironically my first YT comment in 2008 was on a......Shotgun Messiah video.

@@RichyKearnsproductions When I saw them sound check at Alrosa Villa (where Dimebag Darrell was murdered) they did I Want More and Heartbreak Blvd. Pretty damn cool. Timmy did not look like a front man at that point. When I saw them on Violent New Breed he settled into the role at that point. Music was kick ass back in the 80's and 90's. From Judas Priest to Prince to Peter Tosh it was all good. Thank god. I could rattle off a whole list of great music.

November 30, 1993 I was fortunate enough to perform at the Bayou club in Washington DC as lead guitarist in the opening act "No Justice" a local DC/MD/VA original band for Shotgun Messiah. It was an awesome show that night.

It must have been around the time Shotgun Messiah released their first album that I started liking them or heard of them, I'm pretty sure it was sometime after I saw the video for "Don't care about nothing" I wound up getting the Cassette and later the CD. I still have a couple songs on my Playlist, "Heartbreake blvd" & "Don't care about nothing".

Zinny was forced out of Shotgun Messiah because Tim Skold wanted to be the lead singer. That was just an awful idea after listening to their next two records.

Getting rid of Zinny so Tim could sing lead was perfect. Zinnys vocal style was not going to progress them further. Sorry but, 1st album was just cringe vocally. Though the back up vocals are what stood out for me. Tim was obviously the star of that lineup. Second Coming and Violent New Breed were game changers for SM and are a couple of big faves of mine in a very big musical catalog of many genres. Both albums musically and image, were perfect imo. Got to see them on each of those tours. Even got to have about an hour chat with Tim while he hung out during load in at The Mirage in Minneapolis during the VNB tour, as me and a buddie worked nearby and decided to stop in to see if we could catch a glimpse of the guys since we saw their bus outside. Wish Tim and Harry would have kept SM going, but I’ve followed and supported Tim in everything he’s done since.
