Hey i have a suggestion for a new video a boat base with a bunker good storage obviously the idea is to use it as a main base so ideally it needs a shooting floor nothing crazy lowish upkeep and a decent raid cost 25+ rockets There just my idea’s on it I picture it as a solo base I can’t see many large groups opting to live in a boat base Also one last idea since people be farming ocean a in base refinery could deffo be a great option

Hello Crow another great home - i had an interesting build idea: the strongest 1x1 possible We lived in a comfort base this wipe: With a separate max honeycombed 1x1 (TC+4boxes in core) I managed to get 64 rockets to TC from all angles/doors & realized how complicated rust building really is, I'd love to see your take on it!

@@barretthenderson5808 bunker in the center then just glass windows on every slot leading to the armoured 1x1 core, then 6 layers of sheet metal honeycombing - very complicated to protect the walkway optimally and equally from all angles tho - im sure ive not done it perfectly at all

Elevators are a neat idea, pretty underused in larger bases imo. Not quite sold on the wooden ramp + low wall peeks on roof but, feel like horizontal embrasure + stone barricade and small box might be better in those spots, damn near same visibility but way way safer

@crow what’s the method to reduce main tc upkeep? No industrial on console to funnel mats from a box. My team of 8 wants to build this but 14 hours of upkeep for full tc would require someone on all the times almost and we don’t have 100% online time even with 8 people

It can't be done on this footprint. This amount of upkeep time is normal on a base this size. If you leave any base unattended for that long you'll just get offlined. That being said, you might prefer my next build.

As someone who will probably never be in a team this large, I am curious - what situations do large groups typically execute the roof collapse? Is it to surprise the raiders mid-raid in an attempt to confiscate their raid gear?

Our 5 man just built this last night but didn't have the turrets up just yet(was in the middle of wiring them lol) we got mlrs'd and they came in trough the roof as intended. We knocked the floor out from under them once they hopped in, wasn't long after they were promptly mowed down. Works great as as surprise!

Not this exact base but we had one with a collapsible roof. We were getting offlined. Once the raiders were in open core we were able to open it up so between me and my team and the turrets we were easily able to wipe them almost immediately.

a design i would like to see is the cyclone but instead of having it were u access the tc room from the bottom floor u have to drop down into the core to get in. I'm not a exercised builder but i thought it might be a good idea but there probably a reason why u did not do it

For that you need to Multi-TC the base which ruins it. You don't need them with the turrets in open core.
