A perimeter of Murray, Herp and Trey as group of two way players is only “ possibly” surpassed by Boston. Possibly. That trio plus Missi ARE starting the rest of the season. If Zion is here he starts. If not Hawk. Let’s finally give Trey and Hawk all the run they need without looking over their shoulders. BTW, this only works if at least Green and Griffin are gone!!

Unlike popular opinion, I don’t believe teams should tank for Cooper Flagg. I don’t see generational talent; I see a solid NBA player-not someone worth tanking for. In my view, you can find similar talent in the 14-20 draft range. Fans often forget that draft picks don’t pan out as planned at a high rate in any sport. Front offices need to focus more on improving talent evaluation and roster building. Draft wherever you land and prioritize being consistently competitive. This approach seems more realistic for a small-market team, especially since big free agents rarely sign with small-market teams. Over the past 35 years, it’s always been a team with a top-5 player that wins the championship. The goal should be to remain competitive while hoping to draft a top-5 player-not just a good one. Zion Williamson is still the best option to build a championship team right now, even though he struggles to stay on the court. We all know he has the best chance of becoming a top-5 player. For a small-market team, you don’t just give that away. Players like Zion don’t grow on trees. Instead of trading him or failing to sign quality role players, the focus should be on building a formidable roster that can win games during a long and grueling season-even if Zion isn’t in the lineup.

Tank or not this draft is gong to be very important. And frankly I’m tired of this “generational talent” monicker. No one knew jokic was going to be one of the greatest bigs in the history of the game. And lots of teams have built good talent and deep backcourts to compete. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went 11th in that draft. Etc etc etc.

@ exactly, the organization just needs to be better with evaluating talent. No one knows where the next big thing is coming from.

Season isn’t lost. As the son of coach I know you break the season down into games of 20. 1st 20 games was 4-16. The Pels need to go at least 6-14 during these 20 games is mandatory. Unfortunately, the Pels are 1-9 in this 20 games.

The big picture problem is CLEAR....Pels are totally out of any playoff run this year ...that means any wins will just be detrimental to our lottery slot! The Nets have 4 #1s and 2 #2s in the upcoming draft. Zion might need a fresh start. Let the Nets decide which 2 #1s and 1 #2 plus Ben Simmons(expiring 40m contract) come to us. They get a potential superstar with something to prove and contract that is EXTREMELY team friendly. There, a great transaction that you don’t have to pay a GM for. PLEASE move on from Griffin and his assistant GM plus Green. Go with Cash and thru the end of NEXT season. A half of an already disastrous season is not a fair trial period for anyone.
