It's irresponsible to demand money you spend on your child regardless of how they turn out. It is a defeatist and poor mentality.

Exactly, you should wish your kids well and when they do better. They will automatically lend you a hand, trust me ❤❤❤❤

It's not because bills are paid monthly abroad even the home bought is mortgaged and paid monthly so it is not entirely yours unlike back home 🙃 🙂

Some Ghanaian parents abroad can be quite unreasonable at times. It doesn’t make sense to ask your child to pay you back for bringing them abroad. It’s as if they have no intention of creating generational wealth. They bring you overseas and then expect you to make it on your own, as if saying, "I’ve done my part by bringing you here, and that’s enough." Honestly, this mindset isn’t it-it’s disappointing and shortsighted. Ridiculous! What kind of mindset are you instilling in your child? Y’all gotta rethink and reason up!!!!

You can ask your kids to assist you when they start making money whilst under your roof but it shouldn't be a command. The system abroad allows that.

Parents in Ghana are the real ones they take care of you till your matured growth to work or your employed how can you be collecting bills from a 16 year old or 17 because they’re working doesn’t make sense

I don't have a problem with making your child pay when you bring him or her but some make it times 2 others 3. I know someone who was charged 25,000 pounds which is crazy

In some way the woman is right, pampering your child is like putting his future in danger
@anuoluwapo799613 сағат бұрын
Exactly, I encourage my children by introducing paying bills with me as a sign of responsibility especially now that they are working full-time. In the end, the money I take from them is invested back into the home I have built for them back home and they are proud of me anytime they go back home. Because they have a place to lay their heads. ❤❤❤❤

There are well behaved and employed single hardworking women in Ghana 😂. Accountants, lawyers, doctors and nurses among others. If you can't afford afford go home and pick amongst the best and build with her.

@VincentSeniorMensah it true story some Ghanaians are so heartless 💔 in Europe 🇪🇺, that's how they are ,even some of them if you rent their rooms they won't pay lights and water bills ,only those they live with will pay it at the end of each month, So Ghanaians are very corrupt and heartless in Europe 🇪🇺

I find the choice of words very problematic. Most parents take loans or save money for a long time from hardwork and sleepless nights in order to bring their children. Paying that money back is not wrong or unfair. If it's easy to go abroad, why don't the kids travel on their own? Some people are so ungrateful. They will start working and still pay nothing in the home. A boy will be spending money on some girls while the parents struggle to take care of all the bills. Others will use their money to buy unnecessary things instead of investing in their future
