I have the Infinio Sphere 70's and am very pleased. I was absolutely blown away when first using them at a concert. Wow! I never have heard all the sounds from all the instruments at once before. It was so beautiful that I almost cried. With regards to the restaurant or table games, when several tables of people are around, I have had to use the app to create my own programs to better drown out the background. I have a few settings for the TV because my husband and I always have the TV sound off and listen through the stereo speakers instead which affects directionality differently. I use various settings on the app to adjust to various TV programs, and I have created a couple ofcextra ones within the app too depending on the type of show. Tat capability of creating or adapting programs is such a fantastic feature of these HA's!And overall what I love about Phonak is the quality of the sound. I had an earlier version years ago and loved the quality. The HA's I had just before these Infinio Spheres were Oticon and I hated them because of poor clarity and feedback. I am thankful for Phonak. Yes they are expensive and I'm not rich and I'm paying for them on a 6 month payment plan because my hearing is worth it.

My problem was hearing what people are saying in a louder enviroment to a point I stopped doing that because i was tired of "laughing" when everybody did just to not look stupid. Asking people to repeat something etc. Having said that, I tried these on for a week having a few situations (Chrismas, music and restaurant gatherings ) I did NOT once say "uhh, can you repeat that" while hanging forward to get closer! These Sphere 90's solved my problem! Totally worth the cost!

@ZiphearingАй бұрын
As a general rule, I do not use headphones with my hearing aids. HOWEVER, If I were going to do so, I would probably use some sort of open-back over the ear headphones to try and reduce any type of potential feedback from the audio source. The open-back headphones will let the audio bleed out from the headphones and, hopefully, prevent a feedback loop from occurring. Thanks for the great audio question! I’m trialing these at the moment. Only had them one day but my first observations are they are very different to and much better than my old hearing aids (which were Unitron Tempus Now Moxi Pro). Not had any connectivity issues with my phone so far and I’m finding the app easy to use. Your comment about the quality of the bluetooth music stream is very accurate. I’m a big music fan and was hoping these might sound great for music streaming but they don’t. There’s just no bottom end, no umph to the music. It’s perfectly listenable but pales into comparison with my Apple earpods for example. You can really tell the difference when you switch between the different modes. I’ve not tried them yet in a really noisy environment so can’t comment yet on the sphere mode.

will the sphere infinio cut in/out whenever connected to windows and whenever you connect to auracast broadcast (windows) using android phone, is the audio cutting in/out?
@Ziphearing2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question! That is definitely a tough question to answer because auracast is not readily available, I don't use windows, and I don't have an android phone. However, I would probably say that when switching between sources, there will most likely be a drop out in signal because it is changing audio sources. My first piece of advice would be to disconnect or "forget" the device that is connected to bluetooth. Then, initiate the connection again with a clean slate. 9 times out of 10, this fixes the problem. Thanks for the great question!

How are phone calls insofar as how you sound the person on the other end? My current HAs are not good in that respect. I hear them fine, but they don't hear me well.
@Ziphearing19 күн бұрын
This one is tricky to answer because of variation in phone models, but...one of the first things I do when I get new HA's is to make a phone call and see what the other person thinks of the sound quality. I always call the same person, so she has heard 10 different hearing aids so far. She didn't even think i was using the hearing aids to call her this time! What is the fix for occlusion? I love my Sphere I-70's but I cannot fix the sensation of hearing my own voice in my head when wearing them or it's like I'm speaking with my fingers in my ears! My HA tech said it's something I will need to get used to or, I may need to have my ears syringed which I know I don't. I feel stuck with expensive HA's that don't function properly.
@Ziphearing2 ай бұрын
That is a really hard question to answer without knowing the entire situation. Typically, occlusion can be remedied by changing type/size of domes, or making adjustments in the programming. Have you tried exploring these options with your HA tech? Let us know what happens! kzbin.info?sub_confirmaton=1
@Jetboat20002 ай бұрын
Same problem for me! I ended with the fitting software and bought the Noahlink. For me, I missed the high freq sounds the most and the automatic adaptation didn't work for me; volume increased too soon and the lower frequency sounds that are typical contributors for occlusion did too. Tell your audiologist what you want, ignore the prescription and start from the higher frequencies first (for me, I bumped up 2500 hz +, first). Gradually increase the 2kHz and under. You'll find your tipping point! It's yours, not theirs:)😊
@gbkworf2 ай бұрын
@@Jetboat2000 Occlusion effect is all to do with the type of dome and if its open or closed. But I think far more people should be using custom molds. They make a huge difference. I use Phonak C Shells. They are great. But much of this comes down to the skill of your provider, or I should say the lack of it. Occlusion effect is fixable if your provider knows what they are doing!

Great review. I am a new HA user. I trialed the Audeo I90, and now the Sphere I90, My biggest complaint with both is I often get low level white noise in the auto settings, especially when it is quiet and there is no speech. This happens in the car if the radio is not playing. Is this a common problem? Anyone have a fix?
@Ziphearing22 күн бұрын
White noise is going to be hard to avoid with hearing aids. I had a similar experience in the beginning. My best response is that you will eventually grow accustomed to it and not even notice it. Its not a great answer, but it is a truthful one. However, if this is something you cannot overcome, I would try speaking with your hearing specialist. Brand new HA wearer... and part of the 7% with new spheres. The streaming was VERY loud - even with the computer set to the lowest volume so the audiologist fixed that at our first appointment. If I had a recommendation for Phonak, it would be for the user to be able to see what program the HA are in when in "automatic" mode.
@Ziphearing2 ай бұрын
Automatic mode is, essentially, a program all on its own. It sort of acts as the autopilot and operates with the sole purpose of being the best of all worlds. @@Ziphearing Thanks... and I agree with you on the purpose of the automatic program. I thought it would help if when you select "automatic" if it could show what program the "automatic" feature actually has you in at the time... for example, am I currently in speech in noise, comfort in noise or spheric speech in loud noise? No one actually knows. Yet, when you are in automatic and I start streaming your video, it shows me that I'm in streaming mode... but that's the only one it actually shows in the app. If you knew what program the HA was in (when in automatic), and there's a situation where you are not hearing as well as you think you could, it's just a guess as to which program your audiologist has to update - assuming which program your HA were actually in at the time. Anyway, just a thought. Thanks for your videos!

@Ziphearing2 ай бұрын
The bluetooth connection has really come a long way! Yes, there is definitely some slight increase in battery drain but it is almost negligible. The only time the devices are really putting in work is when there is some actual streaming going on, otherwise, it isn't really using any battery power significantly.

If your TV has Bluetooth (which most TVs from the last 5 years do), you can connect your Sphere hearing aids directly to it. But just a heads-up-Phonak doesn’t really recommend this because it can drain the batteries pretty quickly. For a better experience, they suggest using their TV Connector accessory instead. It’s a small device that plugs into your TV’s audio output (usually the optical out) and streams the sound straight to your hearing aids. You’ll get better sound quality, a more stable connection, and it’s easier on the batteries.

@ZiphearingАй бұрын
This certainly sounds like an aggravating situation! However, I would tend to agree with the audiologist on this one. Getting hearing aids will change everything about a person's hearing experience. For a long time, the person has not been able to hear the air conditioning or the door shutting down the hall due to hearing loss. Now that the hearing is being corrected and supported by the hearing aids, there is going to be a period of adjustment for the user. They are going to hear everything they should have been hearing but never could because of the hearing loss. I would give it a few weeks of use and if the problem is still occurring, then you can bring it up to the audiologist again. Thanks for the great question and thank you for watching! Hi. I'm totally blind so I completely understand where you're coming from re Widex. If you have high freq moderate loss then absolutely, you're best off with the pure delay program. However even though I love the widex sound, I ended up using the "universal" program more, because I have low freq loss and 0delay just doesn't work for that very well. The Spheres actually sounds as good as the universal program on Widex. My hope is that some day Widex upgrade their platform and give a wider frequency response across that pure sound program.

Great video! What are your thoughts on the Oticon Intent vs. Phonak Infinio? I'm currently looking at my long-term options. 🦻🏻 I have a mild to severe hearing loss.

Excellent question! Here is what I will say... The intent are spectacular hearing aids and held the crown for my favorite hearing aid of 2024, that is, until the Phonak sphere hit the market! The spheres just do, almost everything, a bit better than the intent. The big difference is the predictive and completely spot on performance with dedicated AI chip! It was able to support my hearing loss and provide assistance in ways I had never experienced before! You should definitely head over to the ZipHearing site and check out the tech on both HA's! www.ziphearing.com/?
