@@torieandren I actually just finished this on an inside pocket and really liked the result. In the past, I've not always been happy with the look of my finished pocket and this one was great! One thing though, with this method you can't use some custom zipper pulls. If the pull is too large, it won't fit through the holes left when you are doing that step. Mine fit, but if it had been just a little larger, it would not have. But I'll definitely do this again! Loved the way it looked.

That's awesome to hear, I'm so glad you liked the end result☺️ That's a really great point! I've only made them with smaller or rectangular pulls so I didn't think about larger ones or even ones with different shapes that may not fit through. I'm glad yours ended up working in the end and I'll definitely share your feedback in my next tutorial where I include these pockets. Thank you so much for trying it out and sharing your thoughts with me❤️

This is a great method. My only problem was, if you use a fabric that tends to fray, those little triangles can fray to nothing before you get round to sewing them.
@torieandrenАй бұрын
Hello! With fabric that frays a lot, I tend to use interfacing such as SF101. I also fray check the cut corners so that they hold and don't fray:)
@Thepickletherian1215 күн бұрын
Thanks, I was using tweed, which iron-on interfacing will not stick to! Will use some fray check next time, as this method does give much neater results. ❤

Thank you for the tutorial! Would it be better to sew once on the line…so attach the faux and lining together before sewing? I was thinking there would be less chance of perforating the faux..especially for cheaper/thinner vinyl. What are your thoughts? Many thanks!
