i haven't messed with this kit yet. just got there survival matches not too long back and they work well. this has some possibilities

Thanks for the gear review. I'm sure some will find this item useful, but it looks a little too gimmicky for me. I'll stick with A) my Fresnel lens - always works in direct sun, and B) my ferrocerium rod - never fails me. I can always find some natural tinder in all but the most barren urban settings, or the wettest wilds, and I always carry a few TinderQuik plugs and WetFire cubes, a Bic lighter, and some storm matches as back up. I ALWAYS get a fire.

Yep there is a wide variety of gear to fill different tastes and skill sets. 😁
