Ziyanda, a 27-year-old woman, finds herself and her mother, Hlengiwe (in her 40s), struggling after the death of her father, Gumede. Hlengiwe, overwhelmed by the debts left behind, considers selling everything to settle with the loan sharks. Determined to protect her father's legacy, Ziyanda, with guidance from her brother's spirit, intervenes. She suggests finding a solution other than selling their property and takes drastic measures to steer her mother away from a life of boyfriends and alcohol. Ziyanda even goes to the extent of reclaiming her father's car, which had been taken by his older brother after Gumede’s death.
