I wish you would have explained a little more about the bossfights - you said you can't die till Lycia, and I came to the video because I died to her and lost 3 div and don't really know what she does, but you going 'I usually just kill her before 2nd Phase' didn't really help a lot there. Maybe just remove 1 support or run a higher sanctum or something to show the boss mechanics and what you have to do?

As you and some other commenters have pointed out, this was not a great 'EXPLAINING EVERYTHING' video as you explained almost nothing. This was a fine playthrough of the mechanic, but definitely not a guide to the mechanic as a whole. To add some more points I didnt see in the comments, you mentioned a spreadsheet about bad rooms, which was never added in the video or description. You talk about how defensive auras are bad since you dont wanna get hit in the first place, but I feel like that is straight up bad advice for people that are not playing a build as ridiculously safe as yours, or are not as experienced or mechanically good as you are. Just to reiterate a little bit what other people have said, maybe I'm asking for too much, but I was expecting to see something explaining pretty much everything happening this run. Why is this room good/bad? Why is this affliction bad? Why should/ shouldn't I focus on coins? Why choose or not choose this room? What are fountains and which boons are good in general? And I think most of all, should I be doing this mechanic with my build? What builds have an easier time with this mechanic and which builds dont? The answer might be obvious to me and you and 70% of your viewers, but not to everyone. You had a really easy time with your ballista build, but someone playing melee or spellcaster might have a completely different experience. The mechanic is not able to be done with every build, you should explain that before people waste their runs, lose and wonder why.

Ok man, I'm sorry but this has got to be one of the worst explain videos you've ever done. I'm 10 minutes in, and you haven't explained a single thing. You've just been like, "ok I'm taking the merchant" no explanation why. "I'm going through rooms", ok... obviously. You click on stuff super quick, and don't explain a single thing. I've never done this league before, I'm playing rf for the first time, I'm usually a minion player. But yea, I have no idea about anything on this league from this video. Please redo the title, or at least have 1 video where your spend time explaining "why" you do the things. You're like, "I'm going through floors pretty quickly", how? Why? What is the point is this league?

I am so confused by the mechanic. I did the quest, started a run, and got obliterated almost immediately. Have yet to get another one of the Forbidden Knowledge tomes to drop so I honestly thought I got soft-locked through a bug. Been trying to buy tomes from other players but literally no one is responding to my trade messages. It seems like a really neat mechanic, but it absolutely suffers from completely awful conveyance. Divinia gives zero help in cluing me into where to get books (my altar has only one square so I need them), and the wiki also has no information.

Yeah. POE hates new players. Was equally as confused as you after my first run. Took a bunch of "reward at completion" options, only to find out the end wasn't actually the end. I assume the books just drop from time to time in the endgame. Probably won't do anymore. Not into the 'Hades' style rogue-lite gameplay.

@@thedarkemissary I just want to try new game modes, really the only change they need to make is to just have Divinia tell you "You can get these books from random places" and that would be enough for me. Or better yet, have sell sell the books like Heist Contracts or Kirac Maps, since they're just intended to get you into the mechanic anyway.

@@rhettoricalFirst of the whole mechanic of books dropping to do Sactum is new. There just isn’t that much information on it. Also its very profitable which is why you cant buy books from an NPC.

I have no freeze, no totems, no minions and even if i have damage to kill quickly mobs i just get hit out of the screen by archers and losing my resolve over and over...

I think it would be helpful to see a less "op for sanctum" (totems and minion builds) that could do sanctum, because it was this same build throughout the sanctum and I understand why those builds are so good but some tactics would be nice for people who hate those builds and wont play them. But still always good videos

Question: What damage types are there in Sanctum? Can I skip Chaos Resist if I wanna build a pure Sanctum Runner? I really liked Sanctum this league and my plan is prob to build a more "pure runner" for early currency before transitioning to a more general mapping build or the like. In my current build I wanna change around some points in my passive tree but Im unsure on what damage types are in Sanctum. But beeing able to skip chaos res would help alot

Yeah it's a really tough mechanic, but rewarding. Great for the game. Though I wish they could scale the difficult a bit more, depending on the level of tome. Would be nice to see a less difficult/less rewarding version too.

I just came back and was watching this video to try and understand this mechanic, but 5 minutes in and I have no idea what you’re talking about. I did the “free” one and I don’t understand how this all works. It seems like I fail when I run out of this bar on the bottom. So it feels like you have to not get hit. Would want something that does high single target dps, doesn't require you to aim, and is very mobile. So EA build he is playing and probably hexblast mines, both auto target, deal tons of single target dps and dont require you to stand still while doing damage. Just my opinion, i am sure there are plenty of other builds out there that do a better job.

How do you know whether a room is an exit room where u can just walk out without killing mobs?

if you have the option that shows your active quests on the right of your screen it will tell you what the room objective is, if you have to kill all guards or find the exit

But again.., This is my probleem with veteran PoE players trying to explain PoE systems. You didn't exactly EXPLAIN EVERYTHING about Sanctum league mechanic. You just did a complete run and showed really quickly bosses and rewards. Like What is Resolve, what is inspiration why did you skip some rooms and a ton more questions.... :/ Let me be clear. I'm not bashing on you or trying to show disrespect towards your time and effort here. I am the one that is frustrated because veery time i try to leaqrn something, no1 explains it to me in a way meant to be explaned for newbies.

I had a 3 mirror cold BV , I did many many 30 wave sim yet, it felt hard playing sanctum , I didn't fail any but I knew without that heavy investment I would be in misery .. sometimes I would get hit so melee in general is really really bad on sanctum , if you wanna run it go totem builds or traps or any range ability that can hit across a continent.

This wasn’t your best tutorial. I think if it was framed as your average run through a Sanctum - the lack of explaining the overall league mechanic would make sense. I understand that Sanctum has existed in the past, so the information on it is already out there - but the title of the video is generally misleading. Sorry for the negative feedback.
