Another important point: If you look at items in your Backpack (the top slot in the lower-right corner of your Character tab), and you mouse over something, you will see how many components you will get when you break it down. The crafting components are shown in the upper-left corner of the same screen as the Backpack.

Fyi, you can dismantle or sell clothing and it will still be in your wardrobe. The minute it goes into your inventory it automatically goes to the wardrobe too. So you don’t have to worry about losing the clothes forever. I hope this helps anyone who has a lot of clothing taking up space !

Eh nevermind. Dismantling the clothes makes them gone for good except for when they're saved in a loadout in garderobe...

I like the changes but idk I'm conflicted as well. I like that it's not level based so it doesn't matter what level you pick up a weapon you can eventually get it to the same stats as weapons picked up to lv 5 but imo this really dumbs down crafting. makes me not even wanna worry about it anymore

One thing too is that tier 5++ weapons break down to 15 tier 5 components, but a tier 5 or 5+ only breaks down to 5 or 7. I will sell the lower tiers and break down the tier5++ only depending on current needs.

My problem with this new system of making iconic blueprints SINGLE USE ONLY is that a patch later in 2.1 recently, CRAFTED ICONICS (Like Moron Labe, my main choice rifle) can have weapon mods which is GREAT... but the catch is only newly crafted iconics- existing icons on a save file are unaffected... would be realllly nice if i could just craft a new one, but I cant because my new save I started for 2.0 means i already consumed the blueprint... That is such a slap in the face. Pretty much leaving me with having to find mods on nexus that allow my to just add the blueprint again to my inventory, or the Icon with the mod slots, as restarting my playthrough this late into the game is a big no.

You dont "have to" disassemble weapons to get components, theyre found all over the place when doing side missions, especially if you do the 25% more loot perk. Disassembling is a godsend, but its not necessary. Also, dont forget clothes can be traded in for components, based on the level the clothing is.

unless i am missing something... i dont notice any stat changes when i upgrade from 5+ to 5++. Its a 200 component cost but no changes? anyone have some insight?

I had that happened, but in those cases, it was from console commands or it was an pre-2.0 weapon, also likely from console or iconic vendor mod. Sometimes, the rarity in color is not reflected, even with never, saving and reloading often helped, and sometimes it was the right rarity in the weapon equiped screen but the wrong one in the backpack and vice versa.

Hey, just started the game lol. I got the Psalm blueprint at level 6 - tier 1. Do you think it's worth going back and not getting it so I can get it to drop at a higher tier later, that way I don't need as many components to upgrade it? Seems like a lot is needed to upgrade a tier 1 all along the way. Thanks very much

Im trying to understand how the weapon stats work so I can choose the best, but they make no sense to me. Like, why does a gun with lower damage and way lower "attacks per second" have higher "DPS" ?? ....i don't get it??? Also, I can't figure out how to switch between weapons, or how to use grenades ...at all. Like, I have grenades, but I've no idea how to equip or throw them??? Also, you yalk about "tiers" but how do you know what teir a weapon is?? I don't see anything showing tier levels?

I don’t even watch this video and I say this 2.0 crafting and leveling weapons is a joke! Just 1 example, my O’Five sniper rifle used to do 120K damage in 1.5/1.6. Now it does 849 damage in full upgrade. Pathetic. They rushed the release of the new DLC and did not have time to create mod slots in all the weapons. So they left it out and force players to use whatever they want us to do because there are only a handful out of hundreds of legendary weapons that have mod slot(s). And the mods are pathetic as well. Put it in not put it in make no major difference. Force me to use melee build instead. Or have to play normal instead of hardest difficulty.
