Agreed. Beckham was perfect for America and most certainly LA. So for the our generation he definitely leads the charge. But there were superstars way before in the 70s and 80s. The US just wasnt ready for it yet. Guys like cruyff, neeskens, beckenbauer and lot of other legends have all played in america.
