I REALLY wanna hope they can somehow change the relic system of this game. It be fun experimenting different team comps and see what works, what will clear and people can clear in different variety of way. However, the biggest issue to that is the relic system which discourages that kind of experiment since you need to be lucky with the relics you get, as well the stats on them AND rolling into the right stat increase you want. This is my biggest issue of star rail and I hope they change it so it’s less terrible to grind for them and allow players to experiment different team comps without feeling restricted.

Probably not happening. The artifacts in genshin have stayed fundamentally the same since day 1, and it's unlikely it'll ever change here. I wish mihoyo found another way to keep up the daily grind instead of being this RNG infested mess on both games 😢

@@astra8815 as long it keeps up in star rail it will only get worse to experiment different team comps because the major restriction IS the relics. It heavily discourages you from experimenting lot of different variety of team comps and who knows how long it will take once you get there? I know a lot of people says «focus on the main stat more rather than the sub stats, because those will be a nightmare» but at the same time you either require atleast 2 or 3 substats for a character and hope to god you roll into the stats you want.

I like the new difficulty as it encourages experimentation and trying out new things, but I feel like the awful relic system brings things down a lot as it does the exact opposite and discourages experimentation and enforces just using the handful of characters you already have built over and over.

The light cone effects in HSR are very limited too. FGO have thousands of craft essences( basically light cone) with lots of different effects plus a dozen of characters which allow for a ton of team comps to tackle end game challenges. It's a shame since the story and animation of HSR is top tier

I love the difficulty, and I'm looking forward to the new floors. It gave me even more motivation to optimize the characters, which is very enjoyable. Also, I feel like many people didn't understand how to work around the current buff, I didn't either at first. But with the right rotation - especially with the Sting, if you manage to kill all his mobs and apply all the debuffs - it can deal more than 200k damage, saving a lot of time.

Having Wind Set on March 7th is unironically a genius idea honestly. About MoC itself : Believe it or not, I think it's almost perfect in terms of having us to manipulate the Turbulence mechanic. That said, I do agree on the cycle requirement being a bit overkill (it could've been 18 Cycles instead of 20 Cycles left for 3* criteria in my opinion).

The new MoC is pretty fun. My previous team can only finish MoC 10 with 12 rounds, and i never thought i can managed to finished it with 8 rounds by swapping teamates between 2 teams and motivating me to farm some better relics. It is pretty impressive you can beat it with the 4 stars characters and manage to get all the 30 stars in MoC.

Realistically, anyone, F2P or not, does not play HSR without wishing (=using warps) for characters, as it is part of the game. So this restriction to only free characters is artificial, and most of those who play the game long enough will have limited 5* characters. Moreover, the relics used on the characters in this showcase will take months to farm, so it is not quite for new players. A challenge for people who know the inner mechanics, yeah. For me, an F2P player since Day 1, the MoC was hard, but in my case, it was Asta who helped me reduce the number of cycles and get the 3 stars.

Fantastic clear. Unfortunately, my warpless run was stonewalled at MoC 10 this time around. I can imitate some things about your builds, but I don't have the resources to build EHR-Speed-Wind March, hybrid Break-Crit Sushang, or rebuild my physical trailblazer from the ground up after I donated all his relics to other team members before this MoC cycle is in the rear view mirror. I completely despise the new abyss. It suffers the genshin syndrome. Tanky bosses, too many restrictions, and of course you have to fight 4-5 bosses in total and somehow beat it all in 10 cycles or less. They punish you REALLY hard for not building Serval and/or Sushang (and for not pulling for Argenti). Oh and they're adding new floors. Great, as if the ones we have right now weren't enough of a pain.

Argenti seems meh even in the moc tailored for him, both Dhil and Jingliu are as good if not better than him in the current MoC. Clara is also really good and performs really well. He put in some mad effort, lots of planning, multiple tries, problem solving and forethought to get this to work. The average player would not have the time nor care enough to be able to do this.

​@@dasoul6889yeah it's nice to feel like you earned your reward from a tough challenge. I'm curious what MoC 11/12 and pure fiction has in store. I just hope the game doesn't punish for going non-meta but allow some leeway for creative team comps. I hope to see different modes. Like survive for "x" rounds against a neverending horde. Or defeat this overwhelmingly tough boss that constantly heals within 20 turns. Make bosses feel like bosses and give more turns to kill them to compensate. More cool mechanics that will make the game tougher and could be figured out with time. Instead of a lazy "oh we just gave it 150k more hp for all the bosses and you have 5 less turns to clear, otherwise everything is the same." That's just boring.

Wow I struggled super hard with my relatively decent f2p account. Just managed to clear it yesterday. Also, watching this video made me realize each of the stars are separate (eg even if you die on a 20 cycle run, your deathless run still counts. I feel stupid lol). 🥲 the 20 cycle new rule is kinda rude imo.

Ya, you can clear in 2 attempts, lots of people didn't know that and I agree, the 20 cycles should be for MoC 11/12+ but I guess they are conditioning the players to prepare for the pain that is coming

Impressive run! It must have taken you so long to find the right tactics, gear and RNG, I can't imagine the pain. Thankfully the swarm was weak to ice, March being the MVP as always! I'll admit I don't understand the decision behind just changing the numbers like that. Not only does it feel superficial but, if they wanted harder content for the people complaining...isn't that why we're getting new stages and Pure Fiction? I thought that was their way of contenting everyone so that's confusing. And the fact that, as a result, you had to change all your gear when they don't even give a way to save your builds somewhere💀. I guess that's the biggest issue to me: relics are luck gated, there isnt any pity system, so one could just be unable to finish the content now, since 2 weeks is nowhere near enough to farm even half a character's gear.

You got this! Relics are the biggest upgrades, so if you get your gold relics with 4pc you can easily auto MoC 1-5. Good luck!

Just curious, for this account, do you find it difficult to just auto sim for planars? I just started this as well (though a bit later) but i find that its difficult for me to just pick the fastest path and just go in and auto. Any tips? 😮

I cant get past floor 5 even though I have e2 seele, argenti and his lc, dhl, kafka, sliver and more. yet im still shit asf, skill issue for me fr. The Auto battle is even better than me🗿 Your vids kinda want me to do it now, lets see how fast i can get through the moc with auto battle.

Relics! they're the most broken thing in this game if luck is on your side a bit. My 4 stars have insane relics which makes them deal more dmg than the average 5 star 💀
