Your content is really underrated. I saw this discussion in the discord a few days ago and i really appreciate the work you put in. Man, I wish I would have seen this when I started BB. I at HQ19 and built everything and upgraded defense more than I should have but not as much as others. My statues are okay right now. I have: GBE 37%, GBE 17%, GBE 14% Power Stone 63%, Resource reward 48%, TH 32%, TD 31%, TD 13%, and TD 13%. I redesigned my base and really appreciate all the tips here.

I am at hq 15 right now and my defenses aren't upgraded a lot, but I did build every defense I can, except the mini robot cannon. I am wondering if I should upgrade all my defenses, as I am annoyed by these attacks stealing my resources.

Let go of your PS statue, it's trash anyway. Maybe add one more GBE if you're playing offensive or you can also include one ice as you've already reached hq19

At lower HQs and even 12 it's actually really easy to raid considering you only need to clear a couple defenses on the left side and ignore everything else

I used to play clash of clans and the general consensus was to upgrade everything before doing headquarters, why is boom beach the opposite? (Everyone says do headquarters at every chance)

Because upgrading HQ gives you more statues, more troops, more events, etc. Maxing HQ does nothing.

I am a bit rusty on it but I *believe* overages can't get raided. That's why upgrading storages at a low/mid level isn't recommended.

I still think victory points matchmaking is ret*rded, I attack players to get loot and do events, I'm TH15 on 450 VP and I of course always get attacked and lose a bunch of resources, I can't possibly stay on low VP when I constantly need loot to upgrade, I don't play Boom Beach once a week. I boost resource statue to get two buildings upgrading and then fill up my storages with loot by attacking without wasting my statue boost, then I go to sleep and get raided 5 times in a row and lose all my resources, I don't get it

attacking while you have upgrades happening is not smart. loot, upgrade, leave the scraps for scavengers. the fact that you're talking about TH means you're likely following the wrong upgrade path and playing as if this was CoC.

@@zmot I tend to mix both TH and HQ, I do follow the upgrade order as in the video shown, but I just feel bad wasting my 3 hour statue boost after spending 5 minutes for just two upgrades, which still doesn't help combat the mass amounts of VP I gain, would it better for me to do as you said, kind of waste my statue boost, ok, and then just have my HQ on the beach to let people drain my VP whilst not actually holding any loot?

putting your HQ at the beach does nothing as low level players don't get raided more than 1-2 times a day anyways.

The game is made to be played. Gain all the VP. Players at XP45 have been as high as 1400. Just need the skill to clear your map.

10:23 the 7 spaces thing is sorta a myth. If you know how to do it. Those buildings spaced 7 squares can both still be shocked. Thats for more skilled players or just inquisitive ones. Its just a certain pixel you have to hit and it can be done

the average 'somewhat active' player will have 10VP for each XP. You're slightly ahead with 320. There have been players with 1400 at 42 and other ridiculous numbers.

that's just a easy base for smoke warrior too many braind dead player just use tank/scorcher/mech whatever to faceroll any base they see and the defense is so lean toward counter those (beach base with doom cannon and grappler), which give out so much exploitable bases for warrior
