Good information on the 640 by an owner. Music gets in the way of what is being said, annoying.

thanks for doing the vid! It's good to see the 640. I've thought about building it but it didn't have baggage. I hear the new version does...wonder if it has enough negative Gs to withstand a BRS parachute on the new one? That'd be great! Good video! thanks

The music is really annoying... I've always looked at this aircraft as a simple 4-seat exp. Wish it had a bit more speed...

Flying ANY airplane with an "inch, inch and a half" of ice on the wings is incredibly stupid- just asking for a crash. Even a quarter inch is very dangerous due to the change in the airfoil shape. I can't believe you are telling people this is okay..

His point was that the stubby wing is not as critical and will "withstand" a layer of ice that might truly affect a slicker wing. I've seen a Cessna 182 with a 1/2 " thick ice layer of the leading edge and the entire frontal area of the airplane and the plane kept flying. On a Lancair, the owner might not have had the opportunity to tell the story. Yes, this is not approved for ice, obviously!

@@lamberto6405 Any wing with a ice or Half an inch are either lying or... you're lying. It's a wing that's never been tested or flown before. The chord has Jack shit to do with it you disgusting hillbilly.
