I'm currently 24 years old with a degree in languages, wanting to own my own crafting business, with a life goal of opening a tea room! Don't worry about the way you look! People should love you for who you are not what you look like! Can you imagine if everyone judged everything by it's physical appearance? That's like choosing a food based on it's colour instead of it's taste (yes that's john green all u fangirls) Look at you right now, you're saying something and told it publicly right? So you're one step ahead! Learn to love yourself. List all the things you are good at and read it everyday so you can think positively about yourself, for example: A subject, a secret talent, a hobby, etc. Don't be too nice to everyone and putting yourself in the blame, learn to understand that everyone makes mistakes or does bad things, it's not just you. You don't have to tell them it's their fault, just don't say it is yours. I hope this helps xx

I am a fellow 13 year old and believe me when I say that I feel the same way, I hate my legs, I hate my stomach, I hate my weight but in the end i realized something. You have one life and you are chosen to live it, You're only 13 once and if you spend it comparing yourself to other people you aren't ever gonna be truly happy, and if you really want to change something you can. Set a personal goal if you want but don't stress about it, If you stress over the little things like your body you might miss all the fun things that are happening right now. Stay strong and DO NOT stress the little things.

I got my driving's lesson when I was 19 (I'm 24) but never drove a car until then (only once). This is something I would tell my teenage self, I shouldn't quit driving. I would also tell her that she should not quite cycling because I was really really good and could've won medals and travel around the world. This is probably my biggest regret. I would also tell her she shouldn't be so self-conscious and that not everything is based on appearance. I used to think I'm really ugly and acted according to that idea. I would also tell her don't listen to bad things people tell you, because my friends I had on high school used to show me my flaws most of the time and that made me feel like I wasn't good enough. Although I was pretty popular at elementary (lol) I was in the volley-ball team etc, I kinda went in my shell during highschool and I really regret that.

Yeah I agree. I have trichotillomaina too and it's hard having people point out that your hair looks different then yesterday or having to make your hairstyle odd because that's the only way you can hide the hair loss (I pull from my scalp).
