@@ZoePritchard just finished the full video and LOVED IT I def think you should do these every month, it's so nice to see and it will probably will make your life easier at the end of the month not having to catch up the full month. Thanks for sharing as always!

Hi Zoe ! I just want to say that I find your content very inspiring. I’m a mom in Tijuana México. I was a very young mom and although me and my husband worked really hard and were lucky enough to make a great living I sometimes think about the fact that I really never lived alone as a young adult woman. Now that my daughter is turning 18, I’m sharing your videos with her and I see you as a cool role model of the life I would like her to have in her 20’s. In the end she will do her own thing and I encourage her to find her own way. However, it is nice to show her a cool role model.

i really got into cash envelopes this past summer and it’s been life changing. i have been able to cut down my expenses and save soooo much money! i get paid biweekly but switched to budgeting weekly a couple months ago and it’s worked great for me! yes, doing things with cash is a bit of work but i honestly love counting my cash 😂 i can’t wait for your cash journey to progress and see how you continue to evolve months from now! you’re doing such an amazing job! ❤

Hey Zoe! You have given me the ultimate motivation to pay off my student debt. I found your channel in the summer and I have been really enjoying all the money content you have been putting out. I started budgeting this year too, and it has actually changed my life. My mindset towards money, budgeting and saving has completely changed, and I definitely feel less stressed and anxious when it comes to money. I use a Google Sheet I bought on Etsy that automatically sums the total for each category once you put it in the expense tracker. This has been working well for me but I’d be lying if I didn’t say the cash envelopes intrigue me - maybe I will have to try it in 2023! Keep creating realistic finance content that makes people feel empowered (and also human). Love your videos 💕

This is so wonderful 💖 The best feedback I could ever ask for, thank you for sharing! I think if tracking is your goal it's harder with the cash envelopes, but if reducing spending is your goal the cash works sooo well! :)

The spent on credit folder is a great idea! Part of my hesitancy with starting a cash budget is all of the random credit card items.

An idea for your gift budget: what I do is I contribute $X every month regardless of whether there are birthdays or special events and holidays. Some months I don't spend anything on gifts, but when something comes up, I have a little stash of cash that 1. makes me feel more comfortable spending the money without feeling like it's coming out of my savings or some other budget category, 2.allows me to be more generous, 3. allows me to have a good idea of how much money is available and how much I can afford to spend. Also, I think setting a yearly amount of how much feels reasonable to you to spend on gifts is a good idea, because it's easy to buy really nice gifts in the moment, and at the end of the year when you add it all up, it's much more than what you would have wanted. Maybe a % of total revenue for example, or $X/month. Just some ideas! Love your budget videos :)

This is so smart, thank you!! It's so true about the end of the year, adding it all up. I feel like I'm in a crazy life stage where I'm constantly buying gifts for people... birthdays, weddings, baby showers! It's wild (and expensive 😂)

Hi Zoe! I do mid-month budget updates and it’s a total game changer. I only did monthly budgets but I did not take into account things like oil changes, holiday gifts, medical copays, etc. and I would have trouble balancing at the end of the month. I hope you like this system as much as I do and thank you for your videos. Your honesty and genuineness is greatly appreciated. :-)

I spent $260 on groceries a month on average dining out varies a lot for me (highest month was $600, lowest was $84 avg is $330) Do whatever works for you! A lot of people tell me my food numbers are high. Sometimes you need to consider life stage too. Someone with kids may spend more on grocery than takeout, but for ppl in their 20s i think it's fair to have a flexible budget on dining out

YES - no one expects a paper receipt anymore here in US also - covid thanks - any way I always want a receipt for my fetch rewards as well :) glenda SO my grocery budget is 800 per month as two adults (dogs, alcohol, wine, paper products and costco ) so I think 400 is good for one and a 1/2 (dog and boyfriend)

100 CA is about $75 USD which doesn’t seem crazy to me as a weekly grocery budget for one person. I live in Texas and would spend about $175 USD monthly, but I know I buy really cheap stuff. Fruit is probably so expensive in Montreal!
