THIS. My manager recently said this and that her voice isn’t all that great and I couldn’t help but say something. The best of vocal coaches would disagree. It bothers me! Don’t like her music, that’s one thing, but to say she can’t really sing? I got offended 😂🤷♀️

Beyoncé songs are never easy to sing. Her vibrato and melisma skills makes that almost impossible when you don‘t have the ability to do it. I mean even „Drunk In Love“ which dosen‘t sound that difficult at all I s hard to sing because of the tempo and the multiple C#5‘s. Her ears are insane. And you‘re damn right. The reactor would probably disagree. She clearly thinks that Billie's song is better because it had "higher notes," which is wrong. We all know Billie isn't a belter and cannot hit any of beyonces low notes or beyonce's higher notes. But they gotta do what they gotta do for the views.

Don't you just love it when am expert with actual expertise speak on Beyoncé's artistry! Beyoncè is a master at what she does and I absolutely believe that she is criminally underrated because literally nobody is in her lane or at her level of mastery. Some of her older songs were just really meh to me, single ladies was just a weirdly overrated song with an also weird message, some others were also pretty mediocre. @alexanderkwasihomenya42412 жыл бұрын
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach Nobody is diminishing her work and achievements, for it can't be diminished. As an educator you still may want to point out for aspiring singers the importance of a profound vocal education. To young aspiring singers it is of importance to know that not her talent alone but her talent in combination with her world class training and her ABSOLUT EXCEPTIONAL WORK ETHICS are why she achieved. There is pretty much an analogy to Boris Becker, for instance. People know about his "Hechtsprung" . But, little do they know that this was not what made him number one, but rather his world class training (a training camp he joined) and his exceptional work ethics. Nobody diminishes his work and achievements either... Have a good day.

Interestingly enough, she sang the studio version of this in a much higher key. It's very noticeable and makes this live performance even that much more impressive showing off her range. She actually sounds a little sick in this performance to me. Clear, but there is an ever so slightly nasaled tembre that I've noticed with each listen. Great reaction!
@LiTim172 жыл бұрын
the studio version is just a semitone higher and that’s questionable in and of itself, I’ll go check again to make sure
@OpWellness2 жыл бұрын
@@LiTim17 Indeed, it's actually one whole step down from the original key. Although it's minimal, it's pretty noticeable. She uses much more head voice in the studio version, so the choice to transpose down a key made for a more powerful vocal performance in my opinion.
@LiTim172 жыл бұрын
@@OpWellness Even with that though, she’s hitting the same notes with the exception of the head voice notes which were primarily Eb5s, she’s still hitting and phrasing the D5s she did in the studio, sustaining the A4s, etc. She did indeed give a more powerful performance here but that’s was more of a thing with the arrangement rather than the key.

Loved this reaction video. Rather than subtle hints of suggesting what Beyoncé could've/should've sounded like, you analyzed Beyoncé's sound and helped us understand what her choices were. You didnt make it seem like something could be "done more efficiently", rather "This is what she did and it was so great for HER sound". Of course there will be vocalist that make different decisions with their singing, but I love that you didnt try to stuff Beyoncé in that box. You got a like and a sub from me.
