I was extremely confused by the whole "sledge" business when it was first mentioned, but now that you explained more, I understand what you mean! The plastic thing with string that kids sit on to go down snowy hills, Americans say "sled". Zoe's description of sleighs was spot on, a sleigh is the horse drawn carriage or Santa type vehicle.

Thank you for speaking up about your experience and journey with anxiety. I have memories of watching your content at 11 and being able to finally understand the feelings I may be feeling and realising that maybe I am normal for experiencing them and that if I speak up to anyone, I will not be ignored and that my feelings are very much appreciated and I am listened to. At 18, at uni, taking Chemistry at a great university, I realise that a few years ago I may have felt that I would not be able to reach this far in my life and be doubting myself, but today I am happy and enjoying every part of it. Thank you for sharing your journey and in a sense being there along with me during mine. Just know that speaking up does help, and that many viewers benefit from associating a part of their life with you. Lots of love!!

I’m now 27 and have a 18 month old daughter, literally grew up along side you, I stopped watching KZbin for ages but now I look forward to your vlogmas’ every night now! I’m currently going through my daughters clothes and changing to the next size up (any parent knows that this is a HUGE task) so now I have company I guess, thank you! ♥️

Zoe , you might think your fart was bad, but here's mine :D I had my son and was still in the hospital. I'd gone to the vending machine and the husband of a lovely mum who was on the same ward came out of the lift, and we started walking back together. He was rather posh, an architect, but absolutely lovely. Now what nobody tells you, is that after giving birth you can be left with a lot of air inside, and that at some point, it's coming out. As we walked along the long corridor back to the ward, this fart began. And would not stop. I had absolutely no control over it whatsoever, and it remains to this day the longest and loudest fart I have ever achieved :D And the architect just raised his voice and talked right over it as if this happens to him every day :D I could never quite look him in the eye after that, I was so mortified. I can see the funny side now obviously, but it took a while :D I think it might have broken records, possibly even the sound barrier :D

I really love the new vibe of the vlogs! Having Alfie contribute and be involved makes it feel like a family channel. Have you considered possibly getting into family vlogging or creating a separate family channel? I have been watching both of your videos for years and have been really enjoying both of your different styles of video making, so now having them merged into one is so interesting to watch. So proud of you as well for making the commitment and actually going through with it! I am sure that your future selves will be very thankful for the memories❤

i started speaking a lot when i was 6 months old, and my brothers at about a year, so my mother never really described the issue of a child not being able to communicate what they want exactly to us. I never even thought about it until Alfie said that Ottie is at the age where she's starting to understand what she wants but can't communicate it and so gets fussy and distressed, esp with the teething. I imagine being a parent must feel like being a highly specialized radio that gets trained to tune into their child's frequency to try and decipher what they need xD and smth tells me its always a bit of a challenge, even when they grow up! Mad props to y'all

I would love to see a video where you and Alfie talk about your routines now vs before Ottie, as well as how you thought you would parent before Ottie vs how you parent now. I have been working as a full time Nanny for 4 months to a now 3 year old and an 11 month old, and honestly it has discouraged me from having children. I applaud my parents and everyone who has ever raised children, it is SO hard!!! I feel as if my sense of freedom will forever be gone once I have children. I have found I tend to stay in the house (even though I am able to take them with me anywhere I go) out of fear that one of them will have a tantrum, or me not being able to handle them by myself. Not being able to run to the grocery store quickly, or pop to get a coffee in a timely manner. Like how do you even go in to the gas station to pay for gas (I’m from Canada) with children in the car??!!! Another thing I have noticed is the way I thought I would parent vs how I am now. Although I am not their mother, I feel as if my personality and parenting style has already reflected on them! But I do find myself reacting to situations differently than how I thought I would. Children are all so different and the way you handle a situation definitely doesn’t work for all!!! This has discouraged me because of how particular I am and find it very difficult to ‘go with the flow’. I like routine and consistency and things like this is definitely someone you lose with children.

In America it's a SLED. We go sledding. The pastic (or wood, if you're fancy) things you sit on are sleds. The sleighs are pulled by horses, and they exist, too. That's the Santa thing, where more people can sit in it and it's on big skis. But a sledge? Nah. Do you go sledging? 😂

I remember the day I watched her anxiety video where she cried. I had anxiety myself and it was so strange seeing someone so successful and well known opening up about this thing that many people secretly struggle with. It was a surreal comforting moment. I often wonder how her mental health journey is going so it was amazing to hear an update yesterday. I feel like I have grown up with Zoe, we are the same age, and this time of adulthood where we feel more in control is just so amazing to feel.

This was one of my favorite vlogmas vids since that first bruges trip (that vlog put bruges on my bucket list bc of the pizza cheese and nail game)!! It's surreal being an audience member for ten years.. I feel like I've grown up with you guys, evolved and flourished along side. And seeing Ottie join the vlogmas tradition this year has been so exciting, like I'm meeting my friends kid for the first time. I love when you guys answer questions- and tell it like it is, farts and all, because life is messy, and that's okay. Love you guys, boop nala on the snoot for me. P.S. Sleds are what we americans call a "sledge". A sleigh would be for like a bunch of people to be dragged about in the snow by some animal, and a sled is for a couple kids to fly down a snowy hill, AKA sledding. Love you!!
