I tried on a dress in a shop, came out of the dressing room to see what my mum thought, two older ladies walking past, stopped and looked at me and said “you look beautiful. You can’t leave without that dress”. I had never had such a lovely compliment, I bought that dress and each time I wear it I remember how they pictured me in it “beautiful”. Made my year ❤️

I get so much contentment and joy out of watching your vlogs, and all your content in general! I’ve been watching Zoe’s channel since around 2012, and Alfie’s not long after that, so for around 12 years now, and without fail it is the first thing I put on to watch as soon as there’s a new video. I don’t think I’ve ever missed a video! I’ve gone through so many life stages with you guys, I am now a mum myself and my bub turns one in under a week! We have been waking up every morning (we live in Australia) and putting on your new video to watch as part of our morning routine. This time last year I was watching your vlogust while 8 months pregnant myself, and continued to watch them while in hospital after having my baby! I love watching the joy you both get out of parenting your beautiful girls. One year, my New Year's resolution was to accept compliments gracefully. I had to train myself not to be self-deprecating in response to a compliment. One trick I used was to thank the person giving the compliment, and then immediately tell them a piece of information about whatever they had complimented. For example, if someone compliments your clothing or jewelry, tell them where you got it. If they compliment a behavioral trait, also tell them where you got it (inherited from whichever relative or developed through whichever experience). That same year, I made an effort to pipe up and give more compliments to strangers, instead of silently observing things I liked. It now feels much more natural to give and receive compliments. Vlogust is wonderful. Also, here’s a tip for soil bags: if you snip off one corner at the top, you can hold the bag up and pour the soil out into whatever pot or area. It’s easier and tidier than keeping it flat, slitting it open, and having to scoop soil.

Im a massive compliment giver. I try to spread kindness, and my 3yo does it too now. So proud. One massive thing I’ve started doing. I inherited a bad habit from the older generations of when I see a parent struggling or a mum Overwhealmed I always go “Oop, you’ve got your hands full” It’s not until I became a parent I realised just how unhelpful that can be So now I say “hey do u need me to hold something, anything I can do to help” or just “you’re doing such a good job” I had a lady start bawling when I said that to her once. She said it’s so nice to be seen ❤ Watching your vlogs I was thinking to myself how lovely it is to see you both as parents and how wonderful you’re doing. I was having a very tough parenting day yesterday and dare I say it I felt a bit jealous of how happy you guys seemed in the vlogs.
