ZOHD Drift FPV Glider bit.ly/3hbVOJo
This small and light fixed-wing airplane from the ZOHD company is something like a hit of the last few months. Drift not only is little (877mm wing-span) but also thanks to smart build can be easily disassembled to 5 separate elements, easy to transport. But smart does not have to mean it has to fly good! This is why let's have a short series with ZOHD Drift and see how it behaves and what you can do with it.

Ha ha I can see you are not a Glider Pilot, but hey, I can see how skilfully you read all the information that it is sending back to you, and before long, you will fall in love with this little baby ha ha !! Yes it is very sensitive from what you are used to and you will easily fix that. The real thrill will come when you get a nice day with lots of passing thermals, and you will be circling in them and gaining altitude so fast it will start to scare you. At this time you will learn how to fly out and away from the thermal until you feel comfortable, and then you will again be looking for another exciting and scary one. This is when you will fully understand flying as a glider pilot. Many years ago when we had to use high starts to get aloft and hopefully catch a thermal, our main scare was getting into the clouds and the glider would go out of sight. They were much larger than this little drift but could still get sucked up into a cloud the same as can a real normal aircraft in which that action is much slower because of its weight and size. FPV has changed the entire gliding industry. Now we fly being inside the aircraft and thankfully for our instruments we can see how fast we are climbing, and can take evasive action in case of a huge thermal and we can fly much farther away and still have contact with the transmitter. Your FPV cam is not very good on this demo, but you know that, and if you want to experiment more I suspect you will invest in a much better camera as you will be probably getting more range along with the fun and your knowledge of electronics and all you will soon be hooked, ha ha. Always love your demos and your dedication to the hobby. Oh one thing. Don't for get the birds. Look for hawks and seagulls. They know where the thermals are, follow them and soon you will be smiling and grinning as you circle around the country side. Happy Flying

For all of you who are wondering what Paweł said in Polish: he apologized and said that even if he crashed nothing would happen, since it's just foam and weights 200 grams.

After I changed the servos, which probably run the other way around and I also connected servos the wrong way, (only) the stabilization went in the wrong direction. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4qui3Vre7yZa9E Is there a way to turn stabilization on while USB is still connected?

Absolute junk just got mine in the mail $160 the tail is 2inches out of alignment. The wings dont come close to lining up, the servo connectors built in the fuselage move and are a real pain to connect to and dont want to connect to the fuselage without force The plane is split down the top essentially 2 glued halves that dont come close to lining up 4 mil difference in two joining halves Completely done with this company never again
