Zohd Kopilot connect to flysky fs-16x and fs-1a6b receiver

I get it. The four wire one strating with white from below, same for the other one but cross and into channel five. Hope this helps.

Great video, but just one thing... you said Kopilot is not compatible with iBUS, but actually it can be. The FS-IA6B works on both PWM and SBUS (recommended). Connect it to the IBUS pins, and then set the Tx to talk sBUS and it will work fine. The FS-IA6B runs both IBUS and SBUS, depending on what the FlySky Tx is set on (sBUS or iBUS). Hope that helps!

Hi Toby, Wondered if you can help .. I am using tx16s transmitter with open tx and not sure which pins I should be connecting to use ibus on this receiver.. is it one of the 3 pins on the top row to the right ? Or one of the ones marked on the lower row ? A little confused as the where to plug on the receiver to use ibus ? Thanks !!!

@@Jay-gf7mg Old post but for the benefit of those who come later - Toby is part correct and part wrong. Kopilot Lite CANNOT process an i-Bus receiver input! HOWEVER the Flysky iA6B receiver (though only marked as having i-Bus output on the top (servo) row of pins) CAN (in the current versions at least) output S-bus on those pins INSTEAD of i-Bus, BUT ONLY if you can set your Flysky transmitter to send the S-bus signal. Thus FS-i6X and S transmitters can be used BUT NOT stock FS-i6 transmitters.

Super explanation thanks. Using a Y lead for connecting flaps where would you plug in to? I read the Kopilot Aux pin is not usable with PWM. Using FS-ia6B would you connect to receiver Ch6. I've tried this and got nothing.

@Scotty Scott Having found the answer on A Newton's YT channel I managed to connect by sbus then direct to the 6B reciever ch6 and all is now working well. Thanks.

Use the PWM cables supplied with the Kopilot. You can't use i-bus.

This is a great video! but i need *HELP* I have the ZOHD almost fully working but all 3 modes have stablization. my first switch -100, seems to be RTH, middle, i though would be manual but it is not, and the bottom switch (100) seems to be stablized mode. can anyone help me why is my "manual" mode stablizated too??

any chance we can see a close up of the receiver connections , your giant hands cover up all the details and you are presuming we can see them, or we know what your talking about without referencing the names of the pins or the writing details of the pins on the receiver- DID YOU PLUG POWER INTO CH6 or B/VCC as cannot tell/see ... close-up of receiver and connections .. rather then hands please ..Thank-you!!

You can plug the power into either ch6 or the B/VCC pins. (Center is +, lower is -)

I have still had no luck at all getting the kopilot to work with this receiver -totally baffled and totally confused - can anyone help please ?.. watched numerous tutorial and still none the wiser where i should be connecting cables as confusing, with sbus , ibus and so on!... comments here are conflicting .. i am using this receiver with ko-pilot.. anyone able to explain where i am going wrong as i dont have throttle control , and no green flashing light ... - not sure if i connected correctly actually - connected all the servos to the kopilot, as per the labels and the pwm 4 pin cable on the top row horizontal and the 3 pin verticle on c5 of the receiver... i think thats right, but cant see in this video as hands are in the way... .. , when i am not connected to kopilot and all servos are connected direct to receiver .. everything is working , but when i connect via Ko-pilot ...it falls apart !1.. is it me being a muppet ..really frustrating .

With the stock FS-i6 Tx and stock FS-iA6B Rx shown use only the 7-wire PWM connector cable. Also you should know that some ESCs do not like the long boot-up time of the Kopilot. They see it as loss of receiver signal and shut down requiring a power cycling to restart. ZOHD ESCs are compatible but if you have your radio channel 5 set to a 3-position switch and are getting only a short green at power-up then nothing it is probably your ESC that is the problem. To test just leave your ESC unplugged and power with a fully charged 1-cell battery (as here) or a separate BEC. If all is well with your Kopilot set-up you should get the short green(s) - then off as before. But after a short delay you should get (ch5 to +100) solid green(s) to suit the plane type. Ch5 to -100 (RTH) should be flashing green(s) and 0 (Manual) should be flashing red GPS led only. Also note that if you have to reverse the stabilization direction with the A & E pot on the setting board that this also reverses the stick controls on the radio. So set the pots first and the radio second.
