Yes, it's the same inside: the percentage power increase that they quote as 14% for the new unit is the same power increase that every user gets with firmware 5.0.

How does it work? Do you play stuff in to it? Never used sequencers before if that's what it is :D

It's highly modular so you can either play into it with a midi keyboard, play audio in from an instrument such as an electric guitar or use no sound/control source at all by writing a sequence or generative pattern. It's also a sampler. So the chances are, for any user, they only use a small percentage of its overall capabilities. The main thing is that you have to want to learn how to connect modules and use its odd UI of coloured lights: if that doesn't interest you at all, it's probably not for you.

Yes, what the previous commenter said. That being said though, there's a great community of creative patch makers out there sharing their patches. So if it's too technical to get started with, you can see what other people have done, and try their patches and see if you find something you like.
