Does the 67 have better coverage/accuracy than the 67i (as the 67 has GLONASS)? For best coverage would you recommend 67 and a stand-alone device like Zoleo, Garmin Messenger, etc? Thanks. Steve

I have never used the 67 and would have to recommend you talk directly to Garmin about that question. The ZOLEO, ACR Bivy Stick and all of the Garmin inReach devices have world wide coverage, so no one has an advantage there. The ZOLEO and the inReach Messenger are primarily communication devices and don't have any navigation capabilities. The Garmin GPSMAP 67i and the Garmin Montana 700i are standalone devices with the Montana being primarily for ATV's, etc. The GPSMAP 67i is better for carrying on a pack. The Garmin inReach Mini 2 is not a standalone device but is one of the best all around lightweight devices and when you sync it with your smartphone, it can do almost everything the GPSMAP 67i can do. I could go on with my answer but I want to make sure I'm answering your question correctly, so do you want to re-direct this question or ask any others? Rick

The newly purchased GPSMap 67 actually crashed and kept turning on repeatedly. The stability of the software and hardware integration of this navigation device still needs long-term observation.

I haven't had that problem myself. If you keep having trouble with your 67i, I would contact Garmin and see if it's a problem with your device. Rick

@@outdooremergencytech I have updated the firmware, but it still crashes and keeps restarting. The machine cannot be used normally at all. Garmin needs to work harder on the software and firmware. I have returned the product. Thank you. I have purchased many garmin products from the past until now, but garmin still has old software and firmware problems, and I no longer have confidence in garmin.
