Upgraded to mini 7. Sold my older mini 6 64GB for half the value of the new one so for me was worth it as I prefer to upgrade to retain battery capability. I do everything on this device and need to keep it at the top of its game. Worth the purchase for me.

Apple really phoned this one in. With only updating this iPad every 3-4 years, I was hoping for more than a chip bump. A brighter screen with maybe 90hz refresh would have made a world of difference to me. This one's a major skip!

I received my new Mini yesterday and it’s a huge improvement over my previous iPad mini, which was from 2013 lol. My 2013 Mini was barely usable. I pretty much just used it as an eReader. This new one is so much nicer!

I've upgraded from the 5th Gen, and went with the Space Grey - not a fan of pastels. Well done, US Apple fans. Your iPhones might not have SIM trays any more, but at least you got a charging brick with your new iPad Minis. Unbelievable. Thanks for the content.

I have an iPad mini 6 a family member gifted to me. Comparing the 6 and 7 together; the only real difference is Apple Intelligence and storage space options. Other than those; there aren’t any major differences.

@ Yes, it is. sharp. If your eyes dont see much difference between 60hz and 90hz, definitely go for it. Otherwise, you find the reason why I couldn't add one to my collection.

I have a 128 gig mini 4. People spent 499.00 for a mini 6 with 64 gig. There was a 150.00 difference between that and 256 gig. On the new I pad there is a 100.00 difference. I am going to buy the 256 gig as I plan to have this iPad a long time. My 128 gig mini 4 lasted 9 years. With AI, you don't know how much memory the other apps are going to eat up so you are covered in that regard. Oh and for the people who don't think this tablet is a seller, Amazon in the UK have sold out!

Yup. I think the should’ve done the same as Sony with the A7cR camera in their A7 lineup. A small unit that has all the functionality of the big best (of the A7 line). A18 would’ve been nice, if only for the WiFi 7 for future proofing as they’re rarely updated

10:42 CPU benchmark scores shouldn’t be affected by removing a GPU core. The difference is probably from underclocking like they did with the A15 in the last Mini

I think this is a great iPad for people who travel and want something lightweight. While it doesn't have as many features as the M2 Air or the M4 Pro, I love being able to easily slip it into my purse.

There is rarely enough change to upgrade any Apple device from its immediate predecessor. I don’t have a mini so will get the latest version to get the latest chip and future proof for iOS upgrades. I have considered getting a 6th gen though due to similarities between the models.

This will never happen. Apple doesn't see Amazon Kindles as iPad Mini competitors. Casual readers will choose the Mini anyway, frequent readers won't consider tablets at all. Besides, the nano-texture is only available on certain iPad Pros for additional charge, so this feature won't be seen on the Minis.

For an entry level iPad I don’t see jelly scroll all that of an issue. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB and this iPad does what I need it to do plus it’s just a backup for my phone if I wanted something more powerful I’d go for an iPad Pro! Great review 🙌🏽

Nice review. Sold my iPad mini 6th gen (loved it) for £230. Buying an iPad mini 7 priced at £500, which means it costs me £270. For that I get 128gb instead of 64gb, 3 more years of updates, faster processor with ability to run Apple Intelligence, improved connectivity, higher resale value and the ability to use my existing ipad mini case and keyboard. Easy upgrade for cost benefit for me. The one thing I would have liked is wireless charging. And jelly scrolling, I've never experienced it, but I don't rapidly scroll up and down, or know anyone who does.

The 11 iPad Pro is the perfect size for a tablet. I have the 12.9”, the 11”, and the Mini 6. It’s the best, big enough to enjoy content and draw, small enough to be handheld and travel with. While I do enjoy my mini sometimes. My Pro Max iPhone isn’t all that far off so I just use my phone instead

Yup internal changes (RAM and Chip, supporting Apple Intelligence), USB 3 support, and Apple Pencil Support changes (Pencil 2 to Pencil Pro) I heard the speakers are getting better, but most people are using wired or wireless anyway

I’m seriously considering about trading in my M1 Air and getting this. I had the Mini 2 way back when and absolutely loved the form factor. I don’t use my Air anywhere close to its full potential. Most I do is media consumption. I’m not doing any heavy gaming or anything like that.

I have the new iPad Pro M4 13in and it is AWESOME. Yes its big but the quality of the screen and the sound of the speakers are amazing, Definitely worth every penny. I recently visited an Apple Store and all the employees were using the mini. I must, say it peaked my interest. After hearing about this last release, I think I am sold! looks super cool.

I went thru so many reviews for iPad mini and everyone just speaks on new hardware, colors etc but no one really talks on the screen jelly scrolling issue. Aaron as usual came through and addresses that. This is going to be critical for some of the buyers out there. If new AI features don’t matter and jelly scrolling issue not a problem save money and get the last generation from Apple refurbished store or reputed sellers.

I have a mini 6. I use one of the "mini" wallpapers since day 1, it holds #1 spot in my lock screen switcher. But if I replace it with something else, I can't get it back, where the new iPad has ALL of them available in Collections. Why is this? The new model is a mere spec bump in processor and pencil compatibility, they didn't even bother changing the box. So why can't I have all the "mini" wallpapers as well?

Nope. Apple Pencil Pro or USB C Pencil. Apple has quietly made the Pencil 2 obsolete. That discourages me from updating to the 7 as I use my 6 for a ton of note taking.
