I hated Escapades. It just got too dark, at times. But after going to a rave (State Palace Theater of all places), and its 5:00 a.m., step into Escapades and listen to Dirty Boy Mike (R.I.P.), Gary Brown, Erin, or any other countless DJ's... it was the best place to be. Hot girls, people out of their minds, and letting time slip by... I'm not proud of it... but man, those were the best times in my life. It felt good to be so bad.

Jezum, I can remember the song that was on as I walked thru the door of escapades for the first time. I don't know the name but I can here it. Then this song "Runaway Love" came on followed by prettyboy's battle cuts came on after that) talk about the good ole days. No responsibility, just great music, lots of mind expanding things that u can't even get close to now, friends and fun! It seems like it was gone in the blink of an eye. But I'd give anything to go back to those days. State palace every Saturday night & when escapades got played out, club pyramids nocello's and mojo's.......those days will never come back. But, I'll still keep waiting patiently just in case......

Mojo was on Bourbon Street, correct? Either way, Escapades was the best place I hated to love. You just ended up there no matter what if you were having too much fun that night. They definitely played the best music.

the original mojo was on Borbon across from maiden voyage. The owners reopened it a few years later in another location off of Decatur.Mr. Ralph Perez was the owner. Yea escapdes was crazy . And back in the 80's it was the Riviera. My older friends did the same shit there in the 80s as we did in the 90s they just had better beans....lol....way,way better

Escapades was crazy like that because the owner was Sheriff Harry Lee's brother. So the cops rarely came. Every now and then they'd have a bust to show face but it'll never be like that again. That place was insane
