You can't compare it with tiffin service rates considering the quantity of these dishes. 119rs for just two parantha and Chana isn't that cheap and not at all a reasonable price. Not to forget the delivery charge, platform fee and other taxes.

I won't say it's supper affordable, because in cities like Gurgaon, Pune, Banglore, Mumbai - you can get tiffin service for Rs70 to Rs100 per meal and it would have chapati, dal, vegetable curry and rice, so comparing that to 110rs for only rice and dal is not that affordable because delivery is anyway free for Gold members.

Agree and in office canteens everything is fresh and is easily available in lesser price. My office has samosas in ₹10 each , Maggi in ₹25 , idli sambhar ₹40 , dosa in ₹50 , thali ₹60 .

Zomato everyday is basically for corporate employees, mostly orders comes from there only, its really affordable and could be ordered on regular basis, ghar ka khana could be eaten everyday unlike restaurant food. So it is targeted towards corporates.

Coz in Mumbai the city from where the concept of Dabbawals or tiffin service orginally originated. Wherein the ppl dedicatedly serve homemade food in tiffins to corporate workers or workers in general. & Apart from that a samosa costs 15-35 rupees in mumbai and also in cities like banglore..lucknow..etc Dal chawal u can easily get within 50rupees So zomato and swiggy both are expensive..but compaatively zomato with its discounts stands out!

5:05 as a jodhpuri (marwadi) all I wanna say is - free me chutney dene se achha hai ki samose hi achhe banane me mehnat kar lo na. Flavour aur taste samose me hona chahiye na ki all purpose chutney ka. Har jagah same hi chutney ghused dete hai.

I quit Zomato as I find now the rates, service tax and delivery rates are all messed up, unreasonable charging, no food quantity checked is big no for these food delivery app. i strongly recommend people to keep swiggt or Zomato question their reasoning over choice of rating, restaurant rating and delivery charging. it's a loot, go buy in person and save irreasonable charges
