Zombicide 2nd Edition How To Play

Hey everyone today I'm going to show you How To Play Zombicide 2nd Edition.
The rules are pretty much the same as Zombicide of old, all that's changed in terms of the base game really is the components, and they way zombies spawn in or rush.
Hopefully this gives you a good indication of how to play, or even a refresher on the rules, and let me know in the comments if this sort of style of video is something you enjoy, as I can film them like this now I've bought the equipment, it just takes a lot longer to do them, but if you think they are much better, make sure you leave a like and let me know.
I do intend to film a few more Zombicide 2nd edition videos soon, its not an easy game to get on the table though due to its size, so the videos wont be all that often, but I definitely want to bring some of the Washington Z.C and Fort Hendrix campaign to the channel, as that's where the new rules really come into play and change up the game.

Just one thing to note, as soon as you enter a new level you get to use the new ability/action on the turn it is acquired (rulebook skill list, page 63) so you may have been able to clear some of the zombies a bit quicker.

I think there is a mistake: On 1:36 you draw a "Fatty Rush", not an "Extra Activation" for the Fatty. Since you're in the blue danger level, no Fatty is moved or spawned.

Okay cheers, it might just be me interpreting the cards wrong then, would need to check the rulebook more with these new cards

This is true. Only the spawned fatties gets the activation.

I was about to say that too. You put a fatty out and activate it once, but not activating other fatties already out on the board is what I got from the rulebook.

Great vid mate. Seems like there are a few differences with the new edition, and some lovely new minis too! I was thinking about updating my rules, but may well end up just buying the whole box at some point

Cheers, yeah not many, the main change to the base game is the rush cards, the expansions have the best new rules, but the new minis are really nice, especially the 4 abominations that have individual cards and rules.

Great video - I just want to point out that there's a small error in turn 4. When Elle shoots the Evil Twins into the mass of zombies, she can assign each hit to a different zombie. So, because she rolled a 4, 5 then another 4, 5, and finally a 3, 6, she should have killed all 6 of those zombies. The example on the top of page 28 of the rulebook shows that you can assign multiple hits from a single ranged attack to multiple zombies within the square.

@4:00 during Zombie Turn 2, when the zombies move, those aren't all walkers. There are two runners who each get two actions, meaning that they should have both moved into the survivors' space and inflicted wounds on them.

@@TableTopWolf1984 on one draw you got a fatty rush and move the fatty on the board forward. You later got a walker rush and spawned 6 in and move them forward. You did not activate the other walkers on the board. Which I thought you had to. Or maybe I'm missing something? Thanks

Great video, just a couple of points, XP is AP (adrenaline points) in Zombicide, it good to be clear for new players wanting to learn the game. Also the first spawn Fatty Rush, should have been a new Fatty spawning and activating, not an extra activation of an exciting one. Looking forward to more..!

Yeah I get you with the XP thing! Also I doubled checked as I’ve been playing that you can use a skill a soon as you acquire them not on the next turn so those extra actions come in handy right away. They are available as soon as you move into the yellow. P63 under skills. Looking forward to the next videos. 👍🏼

On 7:16 when bunny G attacks with evil twins each 3+ dice makes a hit so when you threw 4 and 5 you should take 2 zombies not just 1

Great job narrating your actions but it seemed more like it was directed towards players of the first edition so I would classify this as a playthrough of the tutorial instead of a how to play. For a how to play, it might have been better to give an outline of the steps that happen in a round, then the actions a player could take and finally more detail about the action you're actually taking.

The video would be too long then, I can barely grab peoples attention for the length of this one, and im sure other channels out there will do one more in depth. For me I showed people how to play, I gave a breakdown of a turn in terms of survivor actions, zombie actions, opening doors and spawns, as well as xp gains and thats good enough from my perspective. Zombicide ain't a hard game and nothing major has changed really base game.

Runners are supposed to have 2 actions per activation and you missed that, you missed zombies splitting movement on activations, you allowed someone to get a pimpcrate and search in one turn. Lots of wrong stuff here.

The game play is quite similar to Dungeons and Dragons. Doesnt look like theres a lot of strategy involved in the game leaving most of the fate to the roll of the dice.

its a very casual game where you just roll dice, find loot and kill zombies whilst trying to escape, better in big groups where you con have a laugh

This is just a tutorial video,the maximum amount of player you can have is up to 12 players at the most in the missions, let's just hope you got a big enough table for it

There is no scenario in the rules where you only use 3, there is a lot wrong with this video sadly

You did two things wrong. When Bobby ran threw the zombies using a slippery skill that was ok. But on zombies turn one zombie should have split to him cuz line of site takes precedence over noise. So with survivors only 1 square away on each side means zombies split. Second thing I know for a fact you did wrong is you picked up an objective and a pimpweapon crate in one turn. U can't do that unless he has search skill letting g him search twice in one turn.
