Out of habit I guess. I always wear gloves when applying. Removal was easy with a little isopropyl myristate. And this took like 30 minutes. :D

I used to do your characters all the time, but since becoming a nomadic van dweller its difficult to find room for supplies. would you have any suggestions on what to buy so I can have a minimal makeup kit with maximum benefit? I love Zombi 2 by Lucio Fulci the most. It has amazing makeup that was way ahead of it's time to the point Dick Smith himself actually contacted Gianetto de Rossi the makeup artist how he did the makeup. The movie has a great atmosphere, iconic scenes and I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it already.

I actually did this for a shoot a couple of years ago, but before doing it on the actor I wanted to practice on my own hand first so that I could be as quick as possible on the day of the job. It was after covering my entire hand in latex I found out about my severe latex allergy, hahah. Not a pleasant experience

i always have trouble painting zombies. no matter what I do, it always looks flat and grey, or just dirty. Ive tried everything I can think of, from mixing every different tone I can, to using a stipple sponge, to just flicking paint onto my face after my base tonr is down

Fanny Carballo that wouldn't really be practical, I recommend using Elmers White glue if there's hair as long as you aren't getting wet, it'll wash off easily when you're ready to take it off. But if you're hairless (like my boyfriend who I'm doing this on lol) use latex still : P
