I love that he plays the intro like Gene did in the '93s german live performance also he does double bass fills, makes the song his own, also changed the verse part from the original trash beat to double bass and he just plays so groovy on the hihat its so much symbolic sounding.. First time I saw Death was at a crap nightclub in Longwood, FL. They were actually filling in for Morbid Angel after Brunelle hurt his hand at a previous show. Opener was supposed to be Pestilence but we got Carcass instead. I was absolutely fine with this lineup change. I stood close enough to both Jeff and Chuck that I could have patted them both on the cheek. That was the Spiritual Healing tour. I'm 60 now. I would give almost anything to have that year back living in Central Florida. I can hardly believe that was more than half my life ago now. I actually got all mopey watching Van Halen's 'Hot For Teacher' on a reaction YT channel and thinking how great we had it in the previous century.

You guys kick ass, especially for being so young. Love seeing a new generation of bands playing homage to the classics. They are extremely talented, there were a few good local bands from my Highschool back in the day. These guys definitely have potential to be a successful touring and one day. Do they have any originals yet? Remember every band that made it had humble beginnings such as this. You can check out bands from The Black Dahlia Murder, Morbid Angel, Darkthrone, Dissection, etc when they were just kids jamming out. Even Pantera was just a local Highschool band and they put their work in for yrs before they finally made it big with CFH. They went from a local band in DFW area to taking the world by storm. It was part of the reason for their success. They had toured locally for yrs, it's how they got their chops and became an extremely tight live band. Maybe one day ppl will look at this video to see where a band started, who knows? It just sucks that these days it's harder for a band to earn a decent living from their music. Back then you couldn't just rip music for free off KZbin. You couldn't even burn cds until the early 00s. Now days even cds have become obsolete. Can't wait for this Covid shit to go away to finally see some live shows so I can support the bands I love.
