I felt exactly the same way! My dad was enlisted Navy. I grew up on military bases around the world. The phrasing & language was so familiar I was in a constant state of nostalgia, feeling the warm familiarity of the extended "family" I grew up with. 😊

I listen to audiobooks all day every day, read a 100+ a year. I usually click off in the first 5 minutes because I'm VERY hard to please. Gotta say by the 15 minute mark I am invested because one the main characters has a disability and I love the way it's handled. I also like the author's conversational style. Good job.

Had me to the half way mark, but then suddenly the MC is made The President. Was a solid story until that point, can't get by that myself; so I'm out. But I'd still highly recommend this for a listen. It's a solid enough adventure story, well narrated, well paced. And I'm fully aware that my not getting by that President thing is a me issue, not a story issue.

Thanks, bud. They’re all on Amazon. There’s even an illustrated hardcover edition that has a bunch of pictures and things in it. If you like visuals, there’s a coloring book that we made taken from some of the storyboards for the TV series that didn’t get made.
